So, Amazon’s India launched their new smart device which is going to partially convert your any old TV into a smart TV. It is a king of device using which you can do online streaming. They have named the device Amazon Fire TV stick which is priced in India at Rs 3,999.
The company has collaborated with different big brands in the market, and the main partner which we have noticed is Airtel. This time Airtel Broadband users are going to get free data for a particular time of purchase on the new Amazon Fire Stick device. Airtel is offering 100 GB free of data to their broadband and 4G home WiFi customers for three months which is really great. This offer also includes a six months of unlimited ad-free music streaming via Gaana, and three months of free premium video membership from Eros Now. This is not enough we also get one month of ad-free streaming on Voot. but now the question arising what after that, simple you need to pay for it.
The Amazon Fire TV stick looks similar to like a large pen drive or in other words a bigger Chromecast, which turns any in a smart TV using HDMI, but according to me you can use AV to HDMI converter to make any old TV in a smart TV (will surely try to do this in my upcoming video). As of now there is no app store but still we get an app categories screen from where we can choose different games, news etc.
With Fire TV stick comes with Netflix, Voot, Eros and other content platforms which includes Amazon Prime Video content.
Within the box we also get a high quality remote control which has voice search across different categories. As of now we are not clarifies whether firestick will support mirror cast or not but will surely update you with a video so stay connected.
Now if this is going to support mirror cast then surely this device is going to give a big competition to Chromecast and Apple TV. As per the company they are soon going to increase the number of apps and games on the stick with an update.
As per the only specification which is clear, we get a quad-core processor, MIMO WiFi(802.11ac) and supports 1080p FHD streaming.
Amazon is also offering a credit payback of Rs 499 on Amazon Pay if any consumer purchases the TV stick before May 31 and recharge for amazon prime on it which is a kind of 100% cash back to them.
