Nokia P1 All Set To Rock Our World Soon?

That’s right, folks.
In the afterglow of the enigmatic success of the Nokia 6, the company is all set to announce two new smartphones at the Mobile World Congress, shortly into this month. Ever since the first smoke, there has been great noise over one of these, the Nokia P1, that has managed to grab everybody’s attention and is creating quite the build-up in the gadget freak’s mind.
The past few weeks have seen leaks pouring in from the rumour giants and here’s all the information we have on the Nokia P1 – all speculative at this juncture but exciting as it is.

Rumour has it – the Nokia P1 will be sporting a ceramic back similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi Mix on the classic metal and glass design combination. Concept videos suggest dual hybrid SIM slots on the left edge, with the power button and the volume rockers on the opposite side. The camera holds the central position at the top in the back, with the LED flash and the logo underneath. The Home button doubled as the fingerprint scanner is placed right under the display, while the bottom edge holds the UCB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
As per the rumours, the device should be available in Black, Silver and Rose Gold variants.

Full HD or possibly QHD resolution is also expected of the P1 with a 5.3-inch IGZO display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Sources hint that the P1 will be IP57 certified with 128GB and 256GB storage variants. Also present in the Nokia P1 is the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6GB RAM. With the Galaxy S8 coming out soon, Samsung should be the first in line to launch a device with the Snapdragon 835 but possibilities remain that Nokia could announce P1 at MWC only to release it in April.

The biggest highlight of the Nokia P1 remains its camera, featuring a 22.6MP rear shooter from Carl Zeiss and a dedicated shutter button. Powered by a 3500mAh battery, the P1 is also rumoured to run the Z-Launcher UI on top of Android 7.0 Nougat.

Leaks have so determined the price range to be somewhere around US $800 (approximately INR 54,500) for the 128GB version and $950 (approximately INR 64,700) for the 256GB variant within the competitive zone along the likes of other upcoming devices such as the Galaxy S8, the Google Pixel XL and the iPhone 7.
Now all there is left for us to do is to wait for Nokia to take the stage for its keynote at MWC 2017, later this month.
Until then, we’re as excited as you are for the Nokia P1 to come blow some minds!
