SEO

SEO this, SEO that. Everyone’s just too hyped about this “SEO” thing. But what is it really? Is it a passing fad? Is it just another bandwagon thing? Or, is it something your business needs?

Well, the answers to all your questions lie in this article so we really suggest that you continue reading.

Now, to answer the biggest question:

What Is SEO?

Many of you may be pretty curious why people (businessmen, especially) are making such a big deal out of SEO. You’re probably wondering what all the fuss is about and whether it’s something you should familiarize yourself with too.

Well, you’re right.

SEO is something you need to learn – for the sake of your business and yours. It is something that can change the way you deal with your cards, the way you play the game. It’s something that can definitely earn you the rightful attention your company deserves.

Find out Why Everyone’s Making a Big Deal out Of SEO and Search Engines? 1

We’ve just entered the year 2019 (read the latest here). By now, you should know that a lot of things have changed – permanently. Long gone were the days when life was simple, business was just business, and everybody played their own role in society. Before, when you started out as a rank-and-file employee, chances are high that you’ll remain a rank-and-file employee for the rest of your life. You may get promotions here and there, maybe even a few salaries increase when you’re lucky, but your designation – otherwise your “role” in society – remains unchanged. You’re a salary worker servicing a bigger company.

Nowadays, however, things are different. Maybe it’s because of technology or something else entirely but the fact of the matter is that people are exploring life outside of their comfort zones. They refuse to be chained by a single title, a single job description. They have realized that it is possible to live life in both worlds – to be an employee and a boss. This realization has come to give birth to a society that is driven, ambitious, and goal-oriented. Suddenly, everyone wants to make it out there. Everyone wants to break free from the chains of labor and become their own boss. This has given a rapid rise to an age of entrepreneurship and business. Start-up companies are popping up everywhere. Thousands of small businesses open annually; some even thrive and move on to bigger stages. While this is good and all, it still poses a challenge – a big challenge for many establishments and businesses.

Why?

Simple. This sudden bloat of small businesses and independent entrepreneurs can tip off (or has already tipped off) the producer-consumer ratio in the business world. The competition is now tighter – more than ever! Having more people to sell and fewer people to buy pretty much spells out D-O-O-M for many companies. And if they don’t act fast, it’s only a matter of time before other companies swallow them whole.

This calls for the need of some ass-whooping marketing strategies.

You’re probably thinking “It’s time to get the flyers out then, right?”

WRONG.

Some billboards, then? Wait. What about TV commercials? People can’t resist those.

Err, no. Still not what we’re looking for.

You see, while those “traditional” marketing techniques are great and effective in their own way, we have to admit that they’ve somewhat been left behind with the times. If this was the year 2000, then maybe they can work. But at a time like this? Hardly.

Another problem with traditional marketing methodologies is that they are too costly. I mean, how much is it to get a 30-second commercial live on TV? You also got to worry about paying a production team and the personalities who will star in your commercial. Flyers are a no-go too. They are too wasteful and they have limited reach. You can hand 100 pieces down the street and 80% of them will go into the trash – or worse, the toilet. Sorry, too graphic.

Anyway, the old ways were good but they had their time. Now is the time for a change; it’s time to be innovative. Other businesses are doing it so why can’t you?

Yes, we’re talking about SEO.

SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. And many online businesses readily offer search engine optimization help. These days, almost every office, family home, mall, park, and school have an internet connection. Heck, it would be no exaggeration to say that people won’t survive without it. Almost every mobile phone around the world is internet-ready and almost every person surfs the internet for at least an hour every day. They don’t have time to look up and appreciate billboards. They don’t have the time to check out your flyer. They’re too busy and too preoccupied with their phone screens to notice anything. So if you can’t make them look outside, the only thing to do is to “get inside.”

That’s right.

Get inside their screens.

Search Engine Optimization is a combination of online marketing techniques that purports to place a website higher in search engine results. Statistics show that the higher your rank is on search engines (like Google), the better your ROI will be. SEO is all about making you and your business visible. When you’re website is more visible, better traffic will flow – giving you more chances to get leads, conversions, subscriptions, or sales. This is what entices a lot of businessmen.

The chance for your business to be seen, heard, and noticed in the online setting is what SEO sells.
