Gionee A1 which was being recently launched by Gionee in India and was under Pre- Order from 31st. Gionee A1 is the flagship device from the company. The the good part is that they got about 75000 pre-booking for the phone that too in just 10 days. As per the company, they have booked for about nearly 150 crores with its flagship device – Gionee A1.
With this achievement, as per the company’s press note says, “With the Gionee A1 it has been a monumental in the company’s growth story in India, considering all Gionee phones sold in India are Made in India starting March 2017.” The release further notes, “Going bullish on strengthening its presence across the country, Gionee today has 42,000 retail outlets and 555 exclusive service centres to cater to its customers. To increase there sale company has also doubled its sales representatives to 20k by added 9 more National Distributors starting this year.”

In terms of the specifications, the Gionee A1 comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the feature of 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel back camera with F2.0 lens. They have also added dual tone flash technology with IR blaster sitting behind it. Further, the device is powered by MediaTek P10 processor which is supported with 4GB of RAM and 64Gb of Internal Storage which can be further expanded via an external microSD card that to up to 256GB.
The phone is powered with a 4010 mAh battery which also supports fast charging in it. We also get a 5.5-inch FHD display with Amoled Display packs with a premium looking curved glass on top of the screen and full-metal body design. The phone also include a front mounted fingerprint sensor which is really very fast.
Commenting on the milestone that Gionee A1 gained, Arvind R Vohra, Country Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), Gionee India comments, “The pre-booking figures, the highest for any phone in the Rs 8k-25k range, are testimony to our proposition of offering advanced selfie capabilities with longer battery life in our phones.” He further states, “To reinforce this trust in our customers, we are hosting mid night launches of A1 in various cities so none of our customer has to wait till next day morning to get onboard for the Gionee experience.”
