Honor is all set to launch its new smartphone Honor 10 Lite in India. The arrival of a smartphone is scheduled for 15th January 2019 in India. The teaser of the launch has been posted on e-commerce site Flipkart, and this suggests that it will be exclusively available online on the website.

Honor 10 Lite will sport a 6.21-inch display with IPS LCD panel, FHD+ (2,340×1,080 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 415ppi. The smartphone will have a water drop notch screen and features a dual camera setup. On the rear end, there is a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, there is a 24-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The device runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the company’s latest EMUI 9.0 on top. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, clocked at up to 2.2GHz paired with 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM options. The handset comes with 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options, both of which are expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 10 Lite packs a 3,400mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/ A-GPS, and GLONASS. Sensors on board the Honor 10 Lite include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. The device measures 154.8×73.64×7.95mm and weigh 162 grams.

Honor 10 Lite was launched in China in November last year and was priced at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,400) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant. The 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage model was priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500) and the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 19,500). The pricing for the smartphone in India is expected to be around the same range as the China pricing. The smartphone was available in four colour variants in China – Gradient Blue, Gradient Red, Lily Valley White, and Magic Night Black.
