Micro-Star International, Taiwan based multinational IT company, popularly known as MSI has come up with a professional laptop. The company is generally known for its gaming series of laptops and devices, but the new MSI PS42 is the company’s first professional laptop launched in the Indian market. The device has been created for business purposes which is slim and elegant. The PS42 has been launched in two variants- the one with core i5 processor will cost Rs. 77,990 and the one with the i7 processor will cost Rs. 99,990.
The internal specifications of the device are outstanding. The 14-inch display is a Full HD IPS-level anti-glare panel with narrow 5.7mm bezels and a high screen-to-body ratio. The company uses its own True Color 2.0 technology that provides excellent colours. The MSI PS42 provides cinematic sound experience with the Nahimic3 Audio that enhances audio into virtual surround sound.
The PS42 comes with 8th gen Intel Core i7/i5 processor with Nvidia GeForce MX150 2GB GDDR5 GPU graphics card. It also features a 512 GB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage and an HD type webcam for video calling at 30fps@720p. The laptop is expected to last up to 10 hours on a single charge for a non-stop lifestyle of work and entertainment. The device also features a built-in fingerprint sensor for additional privacy protection and business security.
The MSI PS42 provides basic ports which include an SD card reader, two USB3.1 Gen1 Type-C ports, an HDMI port, a USB3.1 Gen1 Type-A port and an audio combo jack. The device has been designed with a focus on the feel, simplicity and elegance. The laptop weighs only 1.1 kg and has a slim frame of 15.9mm which makes it perfect to carry around during day-to-day tasks.
