Xiaomi, the Chinese company confirmed Xiaomi Redmi S2 Launch Date which is the new model of the company’s new redmi S series. Xiaomi Redmi S2 looks similar to Redmi note 5 Pro and Mi 6X. The first official teaser is of the phone has been released on Chinese website Weibo. It is tipped to be an entry-level smartphone. Continuing the tradition that wants the redmi being super affordable with great specs.

Redmi S2 has been spotted on certification website TENAA once again. The new listings show two variants of the handset, with model numbers M1803E6T and M1803E6C and identical hardware. It has great features. Let’s have a look.

Redmi S2 has a 5.99 inch IPS LCD display with a 1440×720 pixel resolution and corning gorilla glass. Its display comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device provides dual rear cameras which support a combination of 12MP primary sensor and 5 MP secondary sensor. The front camera is listed as 16MP and comes with PDAF support and LED flash. It will also support portrait mode and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and face unlock.

Redmi s2 is expected to launch running on a new version of MIUI that is MIUI 9 based on the Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC (MSM 8953) octa-core 2GHz processor. It comes in 2GB, 3GB, 4GB RAM variants and have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options expandable up to 256GB supported by a micro SD card. It has gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor and fingerprint recognition in addition and is equipped with a non-removable 3000 mAh Li-Po battery. It sports a USB type port for charging and also features QC 3.0 faster charging.

It is said to come in black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, grey, and silver colour options.it remains to be seen how Xiaomi decides to price its upcoming device in India and whether it will cost more than Redmi Note 5. As of now, there is no word on the pricing and availability of the smartphone.
