Asus, the Taiwanese company, recently launched the “Asus ROG Phone 2” in India. ROG (Republic of Gamers) is a sub-brand of Asus that solely caters to the gaming hardware. After years of experience in the gaming PCs and components, the brand unveiled its first gaming smartphone, Asus ROG Phone in 2018. A year later, they have the successor ROG Phone 2, with a lot more smart specifications and a user-friendly interface.
Overview
Asus ROG Phone 2 is the first phone to feature a processor with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. The new chip offers to deliver 15% faster graphics performance than the existing Snapdragon 855 SoC. ROG Phone 2 features a display of 6.59-inch full HD+ OLED display and runs on Android 9 Pie-based ROG UI. The display supports the world’s first 120Hz AMOLED panel, Optical under-display fingerprint scanner. It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.96GHz and is backed-up by a 5,900mAh of battery. It comes with a RAM of 8GB/12GB and internal storage of 128GB/512GB storage variants. The smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup with 48MP as a primary sensor and 13MP as the secondary sensor along with a couple of LED flash units. It also has a 24MP selfie camera and features various connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ad GPS.
