Design and Display

Coming to the Design and Build part, Infinix S5 resembles Infinix S4 but the S4 had the waterdrop notch and the S5 has a trendy punch hole camera. The punch hole design allows the smartphone to offer a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 percent. Infinix S5 features a display of 6.6-inch HD+. The back of the smartphone is made up of reflective polycarbonate, and sports a ‘Crystal Feather’ pattern design. The smartphone is available in two color variants– Quetzal Cyan and Violet and is priced for Rs. 8999. The display of this smartphone looks cool and build quality is very premium looking. It comes with a dedicated micro-sd card where you can insert both SIMs as well as Micro SD card at the same time.

Performance & Battery

Infinix S5 fingerprint sensor is placed at the center of the back panel of the smartphone for the phone’s security and authentication. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and comes with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It operates on Android 9 Pie-based XOS 5.5. The brand’s UI comes with a house of pre-installed applications and games. The phone is very good when it comes to performance as it can perform multi-tasks without any lag. The phone is also capable of playing games like PubG mobile which plays very smoothly with medium settings. The smartphone features some user-centric features like bike mode, one-hand support, game mode, do-not-disturb, eye-care, and book reading that makes this smartphone more special. In terms of Sensors, this smartphone has all the daily use sensors except two sensors as shown in the above image.

It is backed up by a battery of 4000mAh and is good enough to offer a full-day battery life on moderate usage. It usually takes 2 hours to fully charge the battery.

Infinix S5 CameraInfinix S5 features a quad-camera setup at the back which includes a 16-megapixel sensor, a 5-megapixel wide lens, a super macro lens, and a depth sensor. The camera supports features like Custom Bokeh, AI HDR, AI Beauty, and Panorama modes. It sports a selfie camera of 32-megapixel. The selfie camera offers features like AI Portrait, AI 3D Face Beauty, WideSelfie modes as well as AR-enabled Animoji features. Not only this much, the smartphone also records the video in full HD. The camera clicks a good picture in the daylight atmosphere and the AI provides a further boost to the image output. The bokeh mode, the AI camera detects human face well, but does not recognize other objects accurately, which is undoubtedly a sort of drawback for this smartphone. Moreover, in a low light atmosphere, the camera gives an average performance and image quality is also quite low. Speaking about the image quality by the selfie camera; the 32-megapixel takes fairly good pictures in good light and the picture quality decreases as the amount of light decreases. The macro image sensor clicks great photos. You can check out the Camera samples for more idea.
