Likee was earlier known as LIKE application. The application is used worldwide for video creation. The app compromises of thousands of stickers, music and magic filters to help make ideas come to life. The app promotes creating trending videos and having said that the app is the 4th most downloaded social media application in February 2020 by the data released by Sensor Tower.
Moreover, as per the reports released by the applications parent company for the months October-December 2019 quarter, the monthly Active user of Likee reached 115.3 million from 37.4 million. This data perfectly explains that the number of users are increasing of around 208% on a yearly basis for Likee.
Likee was launched in the year 2017 and since then there was an increase in the count of the active users. The application provides the platform for the users to create short videos and the application’s popularity has been powered by some of its unique features as well as campaigns. In India, Likee has introduced various campaigns such as #LikeeDreams, #KilltheChill, #DanceForAnimals and #1km1day. The campaigns #LikeeDreams has empowered several video creators often known as Likeers to create a positive impact in the society. The other campaign – #KilltheChill campaign helped the shelter-less people who fought against intense cold waves.
Most of the artistic brands such as T-Series, Fox Star Studios, Salman Khan Films and Red Chillies Production, have formed an alliance with Likee to promote a number of films and songs. The application is available in 15 regional languages, including, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Gujarati.
