Sony is Secretly Working on its own Folding Smartphone

We all are aware of the prototype of the folding phones from Samsung and Huawei. But, these are not the only companies shining while designing an innovative product. Sony is one of the Japanese multinational corporations that is apparently working on some flexible technology of its own.

The only difference is that this time it’s going to be a rollable phone rather than a foldable one. The patent application that was published last year also disclosed Sony’s interest in developing a “dual-sided transparent smartphone”, as well as a “foldable transparent smartphone”.

As per the latest news, the prototype for Sony’s folding/rollable smartphone features LG display with a roll-up screen. It sports a Snapdragon 855 chipset with a Qualcomm X50 modem for 5G connectivity along with a battery of 3,220 mAh and 10X zoom camera.

The latest prototype for Sony’s foldable/rollable smartphone features a “Nautilus Design”  The rollable screen would be provided by LG. LG has already tested its ability to build displays that roll-up with its Signature OLED TV R television.

As per the rumours, the device based on this prototype will be launched either in December or early next year. With a lot of information available on the internet, it is pretty much clear that the prototype by Sony doesn’t resolve the issues faced by the prototypes of Samsung and Huawei. Also, there is no such news by the company regarding the price of the smartphone. But, with such specifications and technology used, we can expect that the price is going to be quite high.

Leaks: Google Pixel 4 may come with 16-Megapixel Telephoto Lens

Google, the company that needs no introduction for itself and its products, is finally going to come up with the next range of smartphones in the Pixel lineup. A design render of the next upcoming Pixel smartphone, being called as the Pixel 4 was leaked online.

Google soon after the leak, also confirmed the design of the new Pixel 4 smartphone. The next generation of Pixel phone is expected to have a telephoto lens on the back of the phone. We can expect the device to feature a dual camera setup at the back as well.

XDA-Developers dug into the recently leaked new Google Camera app. The new updated Google Camera app has been reported to get a lot of new feature updates for the upcoming devices. Within the code, people at XDA-Developers, found a code-name “sabre” for the Google’s Super Res Zoom, which internally further had reference to word “telephoto”. They also uncovered a list of camera sensors that the Google Camera app can choose from. The exciting part of this list of sensors is that it included “FRONT_IR” and “REAR_TELEPHOTO”.

The phone will sport a dual camera setup with one regular lens and one telephoto lens. Also, it is being expected that the telephoto lens will come with a 16 MP sensor. For the front facing camera, there will be support for “Face Authentication” as recently seen in the Android Q Beta version.

Xiaomi, a Chinese electronics company has recently launched Redmi 7A in India after launching it successfully in China. Xiaomi offers a 2 years of warranty on Redmi 7A, just for it’s Indian customers.

Redmi 7A features a 5.45 inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC and runs on an Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on the top. It is backed up a 4000 mAh battery with 10W charging Support. However, to please Indian customers, Xiaomi offers a 12MP Sony IMX486 camera at the back along with an LED flash and PDAF lens, on the Indian variant of Redmi 7A. Along with 12 MP rear camera, Redmi 7A also has a 5 MP selfie camera that supports AI face unlock feature.

Redmi 7A is available in various colour options like Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Gold. Redmi 7A is available in two variants based on storage. One is 2GB RAM+16GB of internal storage variant and the other is 2GB RAM +32GB of internal storage variant. And according to the news, the new upcoming games like, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Control, Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, Sword and Fairy 7, and Watch Dogs: Legion will come equipped with RTX. Nvidia has also announced a limited time offer for the buyers of the RTX Super Line up of the graphic cards. The offer is starting from 9th of July and as per the offer anyone who buys either the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER, GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, or GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, they will be eligible to receive copies of two popular games including Control and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The offer is also applicable on desktop PCs loaded with any one of the RTX Super graphic Cards.

From 9th of July onwards, the RTX Super graphics cards will be available on the official website of the company. The graphics cards are priced as per their model. The cost of GeForce FX 2060 is starting from Rs 34,890, the cost of GeForce RTX 2070 Super is starting from Rs 43,600  and the cost of GeForce 2080 Super is starting at Rs 61, 400.

Vivo Z1 Pro With In-Display Selfie Camera has Launched in India

The Chinese technology, Vivo has finally launched the latest device in their smartphone lineup. The Vivo Z1 Pro has been targeted at the millennials and is the official smartphone for the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019. The device is expected to compete with competitors like the Samsung Galaxy M40, Redmi Note 7 Pro top variant.

The Vivo Z1 Pro sports a 6.53 inch full HD+ IPS display having a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The device is powered by the new and powerful octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with Adreno 616 GPU and up to 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a Game Mode 5.0, 4D vibrations and 3D surround sound for an amazing and immersive gaming experience. The device will be available in three colours- Mirror Black, Sonic Black and Sonic Blue colours.
