The year 2018 is only halfway into its tracks and we are already witnessing some amazing video games hitting the market. While all we can do is anticipate what the remainder of the year has for gamers, we cannot help but look at the already released ones. These games have already dominated the live streams and are receiving amazing feedback from the players.
1. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds
This is one of the most popular video games right. Released late last year, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is a third shooter game involving a 100 people in a battle royale. The goal is to remain the last person standing on a map that is ever shrinking.
Even though the game has already attracted very many players through its coupons and availability across the world, some of them feel that the game’s graphics, anti-cheat system, and stability should be improved if the game is to remain popular all year long.
Talking of battle royale games, Fortnite is not doing so badly on that front. If you have not played the game yet, Fortnite is a multiplayer tower defense, zombie-killing shooter game. Just like the other great video games, it has a free-to-play battle royal mode for beginners. This, therefore, explains why the game has won the hearts of many gamers. Everybody loves mass-multiplayer games and some free offers.
The game is worthy because many players can access it and it’s free mode means that gamers do not have to part with a lot of money just to play a battle royale video game. Moreover, the game is available on both Android and iOS mobile devices and cross playing is also possible. All this game needs to sustain it on mobile and keep a keen eye on its competitors.
3. Rules of Survival
Rules of Survival, another great battleground game that has won the heart of many players with the passage of time. However, many people feel that Rules of Survival is a clone of the Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds given that they are all from the same manufacturer. The main difference is Rules of survival is available for Android and iOS mobile device users while the other one is not.
The game has controls that are very intrusive and responsive. Moreover, its features are amazing, therefore giving it a chance to battle with the big wigs in the market.
4. SoulCalibur VI
Ever since Bandai Namco produced this amazing 3D fighting game, gamers have found something to cherish aside from the ordinary battleground games. For instance, the games use weapons such as swords and scythes rather than fists. It also has some huge demigods to make the game more interesting.
The game develops interestingly starting with easy to learn mechanics as you advance to the more complex ones. The different characters and different modes of play also plays a huge role in making the game more interesting.
5. Dragon Ball Fighter Z
if you are a fan of villains such as Goku and Cell, Dragon Ball Fighter Z is the game you need to play, if you have not already. It is a three-on-three fighting game where each character is heavily armored and dressed. Even though the game has not been around for long, it has already accumulated a fair number of gamers. The number will improve if its producers continue to update its features regularly.
Just like the Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Vainglory is a three versus three game that is available for both Android and iOS users. The game is popular, especially in the Asian region because of its tournaments and regular updates. In fact, the game’s producers recently introduced a new mode involving five players and new features.
2018 promises to be a good year for video games lovers. Halfway into the year, we have already witnessed some amazing productions (some of which have been discussed here) and we do not think that we have seen it all yet. As we go into the next half, the ball is on the video games producers’ court as we expect nothing less than we already have. We trust them to deliver quality.
