-

Bharti Airtel Limited, commonly known as Airtel has announced a partnership with Google Cloud in order to provide services to the growing needs of businesses in India. Airtel which is India’s third-largest mobile network operator and is the second-largest mobile network operator in the world along with Google Cloud aims to provide “G Suite” to small and medium-sized businesses in India.

G Suite will consist of applications like Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, etc. They are designed to provide a platform that will help both companies grab more opportunities in India. (India stands on second place when it comes to the total number of internet users). “Airtel and Google Cloud have a shared vision of delighting customers with great products. India, with its growing economy and adoption of digital services, offers one of the biggest opportunities to serve customers with innovative solutions. We are pleased to further strengthen our deep relationship with Google Cloud and build products and services aimed at transforming Indian businesses.” said Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO Bharti Airtel (India & South Asia)

Quoting Thomas Kurian, the CEO of Google Cloud, “Indian companies are making a massive transformation to the cloud and we’re thrilled to partner with Airtel to support this transition. The combination of G Suite’s collaboration and productivity tools with Airtel’s digital business offerings will help accelerate digital innovations for thousands of Indian businesses.”

Looking at the current scenario it’s safe to conclude that both the companies will be creating massive opportunities in B2B connectivity solutions for businesses in India. Currently, Airtel supports over 2,500 large businesses and over 500,000 SMBs and technology start-ups across India. And, all these business platforms are embracing the digital change over time to improve efficiency and serve the customers.
