Alcatel, a company owned by Nokia and TCL Corporation showed off their new entry in the smartphone segment in the form of Alcatel 3V at the CES, 2018 and MWC, 2018. The smartphone made its way into India on 29th May, 201 in Delhi. This will be a Flipkart exclusive device that will be available at a price tag of Rs. 9,999 from 31st May 2018 in India. The device comes in two color variants – Spectrum Black and Spectrum Gold.
Buyers will also get an instant Jio cashback offer of Rs. 2,200 and vouchers from Myntra and ClearTrip with the device. There is also a 15% discount on ALT subscription, no-cost EMI from HDFC Bank and extra Rs. 1,000 off on exchange.
Alcatel 3V is powered by the quad-core 1.45GHz Cortex A53 MediaTek MT8735A processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and the Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It is a Dual SIM smartphone that runs on Android v8.0 Oreo. The phone comes with 32GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The distinguishing feature of the Alcatel 3V is its 6.0” FullView 18:9 display with a 2K resolution which the company promises will provide the ‘ultimate mobile viewing experience in vivid clarity.’ The device has a glossy shine finish on the back with a curved surface.
The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery. There is a dual rear camera setup on the back with a circular fingerprint sensor. The rear shooters are 12MP and 2MP sensors with features like real-time Bokeh, EIS, Time Lapse and many more. The front-facing camera is a 5MP sensor with 720p @ 30fps video recording capability and FaceKey feature to unlock the device.
Alcatel 3V comprises the accelerometer, E-compass, Gyro sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor with the fingerprint sensor. Various connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetoothv4.2, 4GCoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone measures 162 x 76 x 8.05mm and weighs 155gms.
