Asus 8Z with Compact Size & Snapdragon 888 launched

After a long wait, the ASUS 8Z has been launched today in India on the last day of February. This phone has been in rumours for quite a while now and at this point in time people can see what this ASUS smartphone has to offer.

Let’s talk pricing first – the ASUS 8Z has been priced at Rs. 42,999 in India and people might consider it to be on the pricier side of things which is understandable. But this smartphone brings a lot of decent features to the table that might change your initial impression of this one.

The Asus 8Z runs on one of the fastest processors – The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor! Let’s just say that this smartphone by ASUS is made to woo the customers who are trying to enter the high-end smartphone market with great pricing. The build quality is quite premium in touch and feels as the front is made out of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus whereas the backside is made out of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Asus 8Z

The 8Z sports a 5.9 inches HDR10+ Ready E4 AMOLED display made by Samsung. It has a high refresh rate of 120 Hertz with a peak brightness of up to 1100 nits. It does have a fingerprint reader under the display and the ability to use face unlock where needed.  It has 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 internal storage. This is not expandable.

Asus 8Z Camera

The camera quality is great on this smartphone. It uses 2 cameras on the back – A main 64-megapixel SONY IMX686/f/1.8 OIS and a 12-megapixel SONY IMX363 sensor f/2.2 aperture lens. It has a 12-megapixel camera on the front. This smartphone can record videos up to 8K at 24 frames per second.

The battery size on this smartphone is 4000 mAH. We feel that they could have slightly bumped up the specs but the phone is quite compact so this could be one of the reasons why they went ahead with a smaller battery size but not to worry as the box comes with a 30 Watt adapter that allows for fast charging.

All in all, this might turn out to be a decent smartphone after all but the customers will make the decision. The ASUS 8Z will be available in India from 7th March 2022. Apart from the features mentioned above, it has dual stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6 for better connectivity.
