CES 2020: Asus announces ROG Zephyrus G14, G15, TUF Gaming A15/F15, A17/F17 Gaming laptops

ASUS, a Taiwan-based, multinational computer hardware and consumer electronics company has announced 6 new gaming laptops at CES 2020. It has recently announced two new gaming desktops under the ROG Strix sub-brand this CES 2020 week. Here are the names of the 4 laptop models that ASUS has unveiled today:

1. ROG ZEPHYRUS G14
2. ROG ZEPHYRUS G15
3. TUF GAMING A15/F15
4. TUF GAMING A17/A17

 ROG ZEPHYRUS G14

1. It is the most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop.
2. It comes with a 180W charger and it can be charged using the inbuilt USB-C port over power delivery.
3. It incorporates the ErgoLift hinge, which raises the keyboard in the direction of the user by a few critical degrees.
4. The display can be customized for either high resolution (WQHD) or high refresh rate (120Hz).
5. The top cover of the laptop employs Asus’ proprietary AniMe Matrix technology, which uses tiny LED lights to show custom animations on the opposite side of the screen.
6. It is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 4000 H-series processors along with Nvidia’s GeForce GPUs.
7. Its top variant is expected to have an RTX 2060 graphics card with 6GB of video RAM. The system RAM goes all the way up to 32GB and storage reaches a maximum of 1TB on an M.2 PCIe NVMe solid-state drive.
8. The keys on the keyboard feature a travel of 1.7 millimeters and support N-key rollover.
9. The power button on the laptop features a fingerprint scanner.
10. It features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.

Availability:

It is available in Moonlight White and Eclipse Grey Colours. The laptop is expected to go sale later this year.

ROG ZEPHYRUS G15

1. It is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop.
2. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS processor along with either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti or RTX 2060 graphics card.
3. The System RAM tops at 32GB and storage goes all the way up to 1TB on an M.2 PCIe NVMe solid-state drive.
4. The laptop supports Power Delivery over USB-C even though there’s a 180W power adaptor included with the laptop.
5. It features an inbuilt 76Wh quad-cell battery
6. It features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.

Availability:

ROG ZEPHYRUS G15 will go on sale later this year.

TUF GAMING A15/F15 and TUF GAMING A17/F17

1. These TUF laptops will be generally more affordable than the Zephyrus or Strix series.
2. The TUF gaming series laptops are built on a chassis that is certified to MIL-STD-810H standards for durability and strength.
3. The TUF GAMING A15/F15and TUF GAMING A17/F17 offers bigger battery options and their screen can be customized to have a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz.
4. The TUF gaming laptops support up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of solid-state storage.
5. It features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.
6. The AMD-powered TUF Gaming A15 with its 15.6-inch Full HD screen can be configured with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card.
7. The AMD-powered TUF Gaming A17 with its Full HD 17.3-inch screen can be configured with up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card.
8. The panel on both the TUF gaming laptops support Full HD resolution and AMD FreeSync.

Availability:

The TUF gaming laptops are available in either a metallic Fortress Gray or aggressive Bonfire Black finish. They feature dual M.2 slots for easy expansion of solid-state storage. Their keyboard gets optional RGB backlighting too. The laptops are expected to go on sale later this year.
