CII’s Artificial Intelligence Conclave 2019 : 3 Pillars of AI are Data, Hardware & Algorithm

Ethical Considerations in AI

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has hosted ‘Artificial Intelligence Conclave 2019’ under the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence: Augmenting Human Capabilities.’ The main focus of the conference was to focus on how AI can help in revolutionizing the world as a smart, efficient, and inspirational assistant to human.

The Artificial Intelligence Conclave 2019 focused on how AI can help in changing the world as a smart, efficient, and inspirational assistant to humans. As per Mr Yaduvendra Mathur, Special Secretary, NITI Aayog, GoI, the three pillars of the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem is are Data, hardware, and algorithm. He also mentioned that Artificial intelligence for everyone, focuses first on the consumers. He said that the first thing is to analyze the need of the consumers and then focus on the best ways to fulfill their needs and how can things be made accessible for the consumers so that they can use AI technology.

At the Inaugural session, Mr Vinod Sood, Conclave Chairman and MD Hughes Systique said that the current developments in the fields of AI has been fueled by an exponential rise in computing power increasing the accessibility and sophistication of powerful algorithms and an explosion in the volume of data available which has been enabled by the advances in cloud infrastructure to feed the AI models. He further added that the aim is to get a more profound understanding of how companies currently manage their AI activities and how leaders address opportunities and challenges that occur.

As per Mr Prateek Garg, Founder, Co-Chairman, Regional Committee on AI, CII Northern Region and CEO & MD, Progressive Infotech, Artificial Intelligence has a potential impact of 15.7 Trillion on the global GDP by 2030 as per the global studies.
