iOS is indeed the second most popular mobile OS after Android. And we all know; every year Apple’s annual developer’s conference is held in June. Buzz is, in this years’ Apple worldwide developers conference Apple is said to launch the latest version of iOS i.e. iOS 12. This new update is said to bring various new features to the iPhones and the iPads.
The company is focusing on improving the performance rather than adding new features this year. Talking about some of the rumours regarding this new update, Apple might bring back the “Slide to Unlock” feature which was removed from iPhones in iOS 10 (in 2016). After the acquisition of Shazam by Apple we can expect some new updates in music in iOS 12. After this new update, Shazam might get integrated into Siri. Another feature Apple Airplay 2 which was introduced last year at WWDC 2017 conference can be rolled out at this unveiling. This allows users to enable multi-room audio service.
The parental lock may get updated which means password lock for each application to prevent any misuse by children. This new update can also bring changes to Facetime. Like the well-known video calling app Skype, Facetime may launch the long-awaited group video calling feature. Apple may add multiple user account support in iOS 12. This feature may not be available for iPhones but can definitely be a great addition for iPad users.
Emojipedia announced 150 new emojis last month; it’s up to Apple to choose whether to add them in this new update. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is said to bring Apple Home app to macOS. Another feature which might be added in this new update allows users to know the location of other users and may also tell if the iPhone is in aeroplane mode or not.
