India’s premier brand licensee and market entrance expert, Creative Newtech (NSE: Creative), has signed a Pan-Indian distribution deal with Razer, the world’s most popular gaming lifestyle brand. Razer’s products would be more widely and reliably available throughout India, and Creative Newtech will acquire a partnership with a worldwide market leader. From 2022 to 2025, the number of Indian gamers is projected to increase from 420 million to 500 million for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28-30 per cent (India Times).
The CEO and President of Creative Newtech, Ketan Patel, had this to say about the union: “The Indian gaming sector is among the fastest growing and with the biggest potential internationally. And among gamers, Razer is almost a household name. We’re excited to bring a market-leading brand like Razer into this space. Together, we will expand in the Indian market, which is ripe with opportunity.
Creative Newtech’s head of the gaming division, Amit Agrawal, called India “one of the most promising markets” because of the country’s burgeoning gaming industry and an increasing number of gamers. As a market leader, Razer is the preferred brand of gamers everywhere. We anticipate a mutually beneficial working relationship.
“As the global leading lifestyle brand for gamers, our goal remains to create the best gaming peripherals in the world,” said Wenchuan Liu, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Razer Asia Pacific. “We are excited to work with Creative Newtech to bring our best-in-class hardware to our fans in India.”
