Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is on its way to launch yet another smartphone in India on July 24. The company has sent out media invites with a ‘#NOORDINARYBEAUTY’ and doesn’t reveal anything about the name of the phone. It is speculated that the company will launch either Honor 9i or Honor Play in India as they were the last Honor handsets. Though as per report Honor 9i 2018 India launch is confirmed, which was recently launched in China. The phone will be priced around Rs 15,000. Honor is also expected to launch the Honor Note 10 soon and its parent company Huawei is also expected to launch the Nova 3 in India by the end of this month.
Coming to the specifications, the new Honor 9i comes equipped with GPU Turbo Tech that can deliver faster performance while reducing power consumption as per the company. The new model features a 5.84-inch full HD+ IPS display with 1080×2280 pixels resolution and comes with a metal frame and a mirror finish back. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor paired with the ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It is available in three variants: 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded to 256GB via a microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the company’s own EMUI 8.0 skin on top.

On the optic front, Honor 9i (2018) comes with a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor with LED flash, PDAF, HDR, time-lapse and burst modes. It sports a 16MP front camera with an AI (Artificial Intelligence) beautification mode for taking selfies.
The new Honor phone packs a 3,000 mAh battery that also supports Super Charge Technology. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. Other features include a fingerprint sensor and a Face Unlock feature.

The Honor 9i (2018) price in China is CNY 1,399 (approx. Rs. 14,600) for the 64GB storage model and CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 17,800) for the 128GB storage variant. So, it is expected to be around the same price in India too. It is available in Black, Blue, Green, and Purple options.
