Domestic mobile manufacturer Karbonn announced the launch of a new smartphone Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G by giving competition to other smartphones. Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G is India’s first smartphone with BHIM app integration. This is the major highlight of the smartphone you can say. BHIM stands for Bharat Interface for Money which is used for UPI-based payment in India. BHIM app can be used by anyone to send and receive money directly. All you need to do is link your phone number to a bank account.
As for the device itself, Karbonn K9 Kavach looks like it belongs in the budget category. Don’t really expect too much in terms of style. It fits nicely in your palm. The phone is constructed out of plastic. You get a 5MP shooter in the front, it also has a front-facing flash that will help you to take selfies in low light conditions.
The device also features a 5 inch HD IPS display with screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels below which you have 3 usual Android touch buttons. The viewing angles are average. On the back side, you have 5MP shooter with dual LED flash and autofocus. It comes with a fingerprint scanner, to secure your bank related details on your phone. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back.
The phone has dual SIM, micro USB port, 4G, VoLTE support. It comes with the Bluetooth, Wifi support which helps in connectivity. The device runs on Android 7.0 nougat along with 2300 mAh Li-ion battery. The device is powered by 1.25GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB.

The smartphone comes with market operating price (MOP) of Rs. 5290 and will be available in stores and online channels.
