LG Electronics India aims Rs 2,000-cr biz from B2B segment

LG, a South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer is expecting a Rs. 2,000 crore business under its Business-to-business segment this year and it is also expecting to continue a 30 per cent year to year growth. The 2B segment of LG electronics in Indi is renamed as Business Solutions. The business solutions now contributes around 10 per cent to the company’s total turnover.

As per the records the Business solutions have achieved a huge growth because of the large government buyers such as Indian railways. The growth was potentially seen in two segments:

  1. Display segment
  2. Air segment

LG Electronics India Vice-President and Business Head (Business Solutions) Hemendu Sinha said that the company is expecting  Rs 2,000 crore from this business this year. He also added that for this year and for many years coming, the company is looking  at 30 per cent growth year-on-year  and this is the approach that will be followed in rest upcoming years too. He explained that B2B market is evolving in India in a faster rate than any other segments and the company’s aim to is to grow and expand the B2B segment and a consistent effort from the side of management is done to improve the numbers. He also said that the ongoing slowdown into B2B panel market does not have any impact on the BB business  of LG.

The brand introduced new products on Wednesday, which include 130 all-in-one LED screens, transparent OLED, interactive digital boards and new outdoor display just to strengthen its portfolio of display solutions in the Business to Business segment in India.

Coming to the built part of the phone; here we get plastic built all over, with two camera and other sensors in the phone. The back panel is non-removable. The device feels quite good by holding but nothing new with the design in this version. The device feels really lightweight and only weighs only 159g. The device consists of 6.19″ HD+ Display that feels so handy while using it in a single hand because of very less bezel and a notch display. It fits perfectly in your hand. The notch also comes with Dual front-facing camera with an additional front flash which is quite useful these days.

Starting with the design part; at the front top, we get a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel camera beside it whole has a whole lot of sensors, and a Front LED flash. Beside it, we also get earpiece and nothing much.

Coming to the lower side, we get a 6.19-inch HD+ Display which is covered with 2.5D curved glass on top of it. We have no info regarding additional glass protection on top of it. The curve glass gently melds in along with the curved sides, thus making it a joy to hold in the hands without any fatigue.

Coming little bit down we get on the screen back keys which we can edit as per our usage by going into the setting panel.

Turning the phone to the downside here we get a Primary Mic, Micro USB port which also supports OTG and a speaker which is incredibly loud with good treble and no bass. We also get a 3.5mm audio jack at the lower part of the phone.

Coming to the right side of the phone here we get Triple tray slot which offers dual sims plus a microSD card support.

Turning to the other side here we get a volume rockers and power lock key. Both the buttons are made up of high-quality plastic. Further moving to the top side of the phone here we get nothing to mention.

Finally coming to the backside of the phone here we again get a 13+2-megapixel camera with the support of single-tone Dual LED flash. Below that we get a Fingerprint sensor which works quite well.

Performance

The phone comes with a get MediTEK P25 processor which features a 4 GB Ram. This combo makes it quite impressive device at this price. This combo makes the device a good performer. Out of 64 GB of internal storage, you get about 57 GB free after that you can also expand it to up to 256GB as the phone support dedicated tray for Micro SD Card.

We get Antutu Score of 87899, and these scores on a budget device are entirely above average. With this screen size and Quad camera’s, they have also given all the sensors which are required by any ordinary person. No sensor is being removed by the brand. We can use this smartphone with a VR headset, and even while using GPS, it will give you proper accuracy as it also has a magnetic and orientation sensor in it.

The battery on the smartphone is packed with a massive large 4000mAh allowing you to sail through an entire day even I would say more than 1.5 days very easily or even more depends on your usage. You can use the device very aggressive usage; still, it is not going to affect your battery life. It will take me approx 2 Hours 40 minutes approximately to charge from 0 to 100% using its default charger. Battery usage of the device is proper.
You will not find even a single complaint regarding the battery part of this phone.

Connectivity

Infinix Hot 7 Pro is the first phone in the budget which supports Dual Volte 4G support at the same time. The device comes with a triple tray slot that supports dual 4G sim at the same time it also enable Micro SD card too. Overall in terms of connectivity, we get a 3.5mm audio jack a Micro USB port which also supports OTG, Wifi, and Bluetooth. So, nothing to worry about.

The device is going to be launched with Intel at the IFA exhibition which is scheduled from September 6th to 11th.

Google Open-Sources Hand Tracking AI “MediaPipe” for Smartphones

Google has now open-sourced an Artificial Intelligence for smartphone and it is named as  MediaPipe. It is capable of recognizing hand shapes and motions in real-time. The feature was earlier shown is Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition(CVPR) 2019 conference that was held back in June.

The Google AI blog post also mentioned that the ability to recognize the shape and motion of hands can be a vital component in improving and enhancing the user experience across various platforms. MediaPipe is built by google using 3 AI models. The models are named as BlazePalm, Hand Landmark and gesture recognizer models and they have the following functions:

  1. BlazePalm also is known as the Palm detector is used to analyze a frame and returning an oriented hand bounding box.
  2. The hand mark model is responsible for returning 3D hand key points from a cropped image region. The best part of this hand-tracking AI is to identify the gestures
  3. The gesture recognizer is used for classifying already computed key point configurations into a group of gestures.

The researchers have also mentioned that the Artificial Intelligence open-sourced by google is capable enough to recognize signs like:

  1. Fist
  2. OK
  3. Rock
  4. Thumbs up
  5. Rock
  6. Spiderman

This will be really helpful to a lot of developers to implement gesture recognition technology to their applications. The laptops will go on sale on Amazon India from the next week and LG Gram 17-inch variant laptop is awarded to be the world’s lightest laptop in its category by Guinness World Records in February 2019.

  • It will be available on Amazon India from next week.

  • It is powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with Intel UHD graphics, up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 512GB solid-state drive (SSD).

  • It is priced at Rs. 98,000.

How and Why to Find your Digital Marketing Niche

Whether you are currently working within the field of digital marketing or thinking/starting out within the industry, it is vital to the long-term success of your business to find the main niche that you can specialize within.

At first, you might believe that this will severely limit your success, as you will have less clientele to potentially work with; but I will explain exactly why this is not the case and really the opposite.

In fact, by niching down your agency, it has the opportunity to grow and scale much faster than it would otherwise.

Stand Out From the Rest

Digital marketing is now a huge industry and in consequence, there are thousands and thousands of agency’s that you are competing against.

When you are within a specialized niche, it allows you to stand out from these competitors.

Let me give you an example from my own personal experience:

Prior to becoming an SEO strategist, I was a law clerk/legal assistant.  Taking my legal experience into consideration, I started reaching out to law firms via email marketing.

Within these emails, I would highlight that I was a former law clerk/legal assistant, now turned digital marketer.  I would then go on to say that I wanted to provide my insight as to what they could do to improve their law firms marketing strategies and bring in more clients.

By highlighting my work experience within the legal field, lawyers felt more comfortable speaking with me regarding their marketing needs.  This was large because I already had hands-on experience working with them, and consequently would be somewhat knowledgeable about the legal field.

This gave me a huge advantage compared to the random digital marketers that send them daily or weekly emails advertising their generic marketing services.

You, Will, Be More Confident

Starting with a new client can be hard!

Everything from coming up with an appropriate price for the proposal, to keyword research, to engagement can be scary when you enter into an unfamiliar business niche.

By niching down, you can avoid this difficulty and be more confident in the services you offer.  Not only this, but your agency will sound more professional when it is known that you predominantly cater to law firms, dentists, or clinics.

This confidence will also show in your personality and in turn shine through into your daily business activities.

Getting Clients Will Be Easier

We all want to spend less time searching for clients and even less time dealing with the “wrong clients”.

 By niching down you can improve your client selection process tremendously and improve your ratio of bad to good clients.

When working within a niche, your clients will no doubt have large networks of other businesses and people within their niche that they readily have access to.

If their business is now booming with extra calls due to your marketing efforts, they will undoubtedly let their colleagues and friends know about you.

This will lead to your agency becoming well known within that particular niche and clients coming to you as opposed to you having to canvass clients.

How Do You Find Your Niche?

Think about what areas you have experience in.  Think about the jobs you had when you were younger or things that interest you.

Are you good with plumbing or mechanics? Plumbing or repair businesses could be your niche.

Are you into fitness? Gyms could be your niche.

Did you have a profession that you worked in prior to getting into digital marketing?

Find something that you have experience or knowledge in and use that to your advantage to get clients within that specific industry to display that you know what their business does and that you are better suited for the job than a regular digital marketer that specializes in anything and everything.

There are so many ways to try and find that special niche that will help you stand out and start getting clients easier and getting clients better results.  This will help your agency retain longevity amongst the heavy competition in digital marketing today.
