Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo with Dual Cameras launched at ₹16,990: Specifications and Features


There is some good news coming for Samsung fans. The first Samsung phone in the J series to come with dual camera setup is launched in India at ₹16,990. We are talking about the all-new Samsung J7 Duo. It will be made available to the users in two different color variants – Black and Gold. It will be available across all the retail stores in India starting from April 12. Now let us talk about the features and specifications it will bring to its users.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo is powered by Exynos 7 series octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM which can be further expanded to 256GB via a microSD card. Display wise, it has got a beautiful 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display screen. The phone is lightweight and has got dimensions of 153.5 × 77.2 × 8.1 mm which makes it quite handy.

As the name suggests, J7 Duo is the first smartphone in the J series to get the dual camera at the back. It has got 13MP and a 5MP dual camera setup at the rear end whereas there is a front camera of 8MP. f/1.9 aperture and LED flash are supported by both the cameras on the back. With Live focus and many more camera features, users will be able to take bright and vivid pictures even in dimly lit areas. The front camera has got a Selfie focus mode that blurs the background and gives the pictures an amazing look.

Coming to other specifications of the device, it is powered by a 3000mAh battery. J7 Duo runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. There is an App Pair features on the phone which enables the users to work on two different apps simultaneously. A Face Unlock feature is also provided as a security feature to unlock the phone using facial recognition technology.

Connectivity options provided are WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2 and a USB 2.0 port. Multiple sensors like Fingerprint sensor, RGB Light sensor, Proximity sensor and Accelerometer are also provided to perform multiple functions. Overall the device sounds decent since it is backed by the well-known name –  Samsung.
