Sony HT-Z9F Soundbar With Built-in Chromecast Launched in India

After exit from the smartphone business in India, Sony intends to maintain the premium quality of its other products. The company is doing well in the TV and Home Entertainment range of products, which now gets upgraded with the launch of the Sony HT-Z9F premium 3.1 channel soundbar. The soundbar has been priced at Rs. 59,990 in India. It comes with a dedicated subwoofer and optional SA-Z9R rear channel speakers priced at Rs. 9,990, in case anyone wants to upgrade to a 5.1 channel setup.

The company added,” On pre-booking of the HT-Z9F from July 1 until July 8, the rear surround speaker SA-Z9R would be available at no additional cost.”

Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director of Sony India said,” The new HT-Z9F, will be a game changer for the home-cinema segment. Our exciting collaboration with Dolby for HT-Z9F will enable users to enjoy cinematic-audio powered by Dolby Atmos, right in the comfort of their homes, thus, giving them more reasons to love Sony.”

The Sony HT-Z9F is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X cinema audio format. It features the company’s own Virtual Surround Engine, expected to improve the surround sound experience by simulating overhead and surround channels virtually. The HT-Z9F soundbar offers a multitude of connectivity options ranging from Bluetooth, LAN, USB and optical-in to using with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The Sony HT-Z9F also supports Wi-Fi connectivity, a built-in Chromecast, 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision passthrough with HDMI ARC. The soundbar comes with remote control for ease of control. The device will go on sale from 8th July and is available for pre-order at Sony centres, e-commerce websites and other major third-party retailers.
