Sony expands its headphone lineup in India with the addition of the Sony WH-XB900N noise-cancelling headphones. These headphones inherit many features from its higher-end models like the WH-100XM3. Some of the features include a touch-sensitive pad for controlling the music, 30-hour battery life, NFC and advanced audio codecs support such as aptX HD and LDAC. These new Sony WH-XB900N are bass-heavy, cheaper and its design and sound signature make it a worthy Beats rival.
The Sony WH-XB900N has been priced at Rs. 16,990 that provides you with 40mm neodymium drivers in each cup. The headphones are lightweight (approx 254 grams) along with foam padding which makes them easy to wear for long hours. The left ear cup houses the buttons, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-C input. The buttons can be remapped via the Sony Headphones Connect app. The right ear cup sports the touch-sensitive pad reserved for gesture control. The user can adjust the volume and skip tracks using the right ear cup.
The Quick Attention feature allows you to have a quick conversation without taking the headphones off. You can put your palm on the right ear cup to reduce the volume and hear the sound around you. The headphones integrate both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Pairing the device is easy via both Bluetooth and NFC. The headphones provide with 5 streaming option: LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC. You can also make granular EQ adjustments and prioritize connection strength or streaming quality using the Sony Headphones Connect app.
