Tinder Anticipates A Swipe Surge Around Valentine’s Day

Tinder anticipates a Swipe Surge

This might be the best time for you to join Tinder and find that one “match”. You may have a better chance to find a match this time. I am not kidding. It’s that time of the year where Tinder is anticipating increased activity on its application.

So why is this happening? It’s because of the Swipe Surge! This happens mostly around holidays or festivals. But it’s expected to happen on February 13. When a swipe surge happens, a push notification will let you know with real-time updates. During this phase, people are able to see which other user is currently active. The activity is 15x higher during this period of time which leads to an increase in matchmaking potential by 250%

How to make the most out of it? I will list out some pointers for you. I hope that helps!

  1. Do take that extra time to read the bio of the potential match.
  2. There’s a chance that you may catch a line about them where they show interest in a cause that interests you. Climate Change mentions in the bio increased up to 80% last year.
  3. I am not the one to use this but yes some people do prefer matching with their astrological signs. If you are someone who’s interested in this, here’s a fun fact – the use of Astro signs grew 16% on Tinder last year.
