Vivo launched a new smartphone in the Y-series known as ‘Vivo Y95’. The smartphone is the successor to the Vivo Y93 which is launched in India on Sunday at a price of Rs 16,990. The Vivo Y95 includes a tiny waterdrop notch on the front, or what Vivo calls it, the Halo FullView display.

The Vivo Y95 features a 6.22-inch HD+ ‘Halo FullView’ notch display. The phone comes with 1520x 720pixel resolution and delivers a massive screen-to-body ratio of 88.6 percent. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 and comes in only one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The Vivo Y95 is driven by a massive 4030mAh battery and runs Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Vivo phones are known for its camera so does the new Vivo Y95 that features a dual camera setup on the rear panel with the 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth sensing. As per the company, the Y95 is capable of shooting professional-grade portrait shots. The phone comes with AI-based 20MP selfie camera that can capture more facial details than ever and is also capable of detecting the user’s age, gender, skin tone, texture, among other things. The front camera also comes with several features like face beauty, portrait mode, panorama and AR stickers. Among all, the phone is also capable of detecting lighting environment to automatically deliver facial enhancements. The smartphone will come in two colors Starry Black and Nebula Purple.
