Xiaomi Corporation is a Chinese electronics company that has today announced its success of still being the market leader in the smart TV segment in Q3 2019. Â As per the information provided by Xiaomi, with a market share of 33%, Â MiTV has now maintained market leadership for six consecutive quarters. Talking about the Quarter-on-Quarter growth or year-on-year-growth, MiTV has recorded a sequential growth of 46% and a yearly growth of 69%.
As per the IDC’s recent data:
- MiTV’s market share is 19% greater market share than Samsung India
- MiTV’s market share is 20% greater market share than LG
- MiTV’s market share is 20% greater market share than Sony
- MiTV’s market share is 24% greater market share than TCL
Raghu Reddy, Head – Categories and Online Sales, Xiaomi India said that with the content-first approach the company focuses on consistent experience across their entire MiTV lineup by making sure that all their TVs are up to date and upgraded with the same Patch Wall experience. Reddy also mentioned the fact that along with bringing high-quality smart TVs, the brand continues to focus on manufacturing in India. He said that the offline expansion and availability of Xiaomi products directly from the store has also played a big role in sustaining the company’s leadership in the market. MiTVs are available across 70+ Mi Homes, 20+ Mi Studios, 2500+ Mi Stores and several Mi Preferred Partner outlets. Also, more than 85% of MiTVs sold in India are made in India with a focus on bringing more component assembly to the country.
