Xiaomi has launched the successor for its bestselling Redmi A series. Along with that, they have also launched their Power Bank. Talking about the smartphone first, it’s named – Redmi 8A Dual.
This is the first time when dual cameras will be displayed on a Redmi A series. The camera setup will feature a 13 MP primary sensor along with a 2 MP depth sensor (for portraits). They will be supported by the hardware which will run the Xiaomi’s AI scene detection and the AI portrait mode. The front camera is of 8 MP and includes a face unlock. The size of the screen is 6.2 inches with HD + IPS Display. The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor and comes with 2 variants of storage – 2 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM. External storage can be added via microSD up to 512 GB. The phone runs on a 5000 mAH battery with 18W fast charging and supports reverse charging through Type C port.
Not just the internal specs, but the external features of this phone are a solid hit as well. We are talking Gorilla Glass 5 and P2i’s nano-coating ensuring protection against falls. The Aura XGrip Design provides you with a premium touch. It will be available from 18th Feb at 12 noon. The 2 GB variant is priced at Rs. 6,499 and the 3 GB variant is priced at Rs. 6,999.
Moving onto the power banks, Xiaomi is bringing out two of them – 10000 mAh (priced at Rs. 799) & 20000 mAh (priced at Rs. 1499). Having an anti-slip edge grip, they both feature two input and two output ports. The 10000 mAh & 20000 mAh variant supports 18W and 10W fast charging respectively. It will be available from 18th Feb at 12 noon.
