Xiaomi India spins off POCO as an independent brand

Xiaomi is a Chinese electronics company. It was founded in April 2010 and is headquartered in Beijing. The company basically manufacturers, smartphones, laptops, TVs, and other home appliances. The company’s vision is to be friends with its consumers and be the coolest company in the heart of its users.   Xiaomi is India’s number one smartphone and smart TV brand and today it has announced an important change in the company structure with POCO spinning off as a separate brand.

In 2018, POCO was launched as a sub-brand of Xiaomi. The only smartphone under this brand was POCO F1. considering all the love or POCO F1, it is the only smartphone that was incredibly successful and remains an extremely popular phone to date. With this restructuring of the Xiaomi, POCO will now run independently of Xiaomi with its own team and market strategy. We all know that POCO F2 is an upcoming smartphone that is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and will come with 6GB of RAM. The only thing more exciting apart from the smartphone’s specifications will be its brand tag.

Manu Jain, Xiaomi Vice President and Xiaomi India Managing Director, said that POCO started as a sub-brand of Xiaomi and it has now grown into its own identity in a short span of time.  Considering the popularity of POCO F1,  Xiaomi feels that it is the right time to let POCO operate on its own now, which is why Xiaomi is excited to announce that POCO will spin-off as an independent brand.
