Asus ROG Ally Launches With AMD Z1 Extreme Processor and 7-inch LCD Display

The Asus ROG Ally, the company’s first Windows 11 mobile gaming PC, was released on Wednesday in India. It has a 7-inch LCD screen and can play both AAA and basic games at 1080p quality. Two versions of the ROG Ally, powered by AMD’s Z1 and Z1 Extreme chipsets, were released by the Taiwanese company for sale in international markets. The Z1 Extreme processor, together with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage, will be included in the Indian edition. The USB Type-C connector can provide 65W of power to the device’s 40Wh battery.

Asus ROG Ally features and Specification  

Windows 11 is preinstalled on the Asus ROG Ally. The 7-inch IPS LCD screen can reach 500 nits of peak brightness and supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 7 ms of reaction time, and a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. Corning Gorilla Glass DX and Gorilla Glass Victus are used for the screen’s protection.

AMD’s octa-core 4nm Z1 Extreme CPU and AMD’s RDNA3 graphics with 4GB of VRAM (expandable to 8GB) power the RC71L model, which was just released in India. The portable gaming PC has a UHS-II MicroSD 4.0 card reader, and it comes standard with 512GB of NVMe storage and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The Asus ROG Ally has wireless networking capabilities including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It also has a USB Type-C connection for 65W charging of the console’s 40Wh battery. Two Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and an AI-powered noise-cancelling microphone are included. The controller has bumpers, analogue triggers, a D-pad, and thumbsticks. Weighting in at 608g, its dimensions are 280 by 111 by 21.2mm.

Asus ROG Ally Price and Availability

The AMD Z1 Extreme CPU equipped RC71L edition of the Asus ROG Ally costs Rs. 69,990 in India. You may get your hands on one at any of the Asus or ROG retail locations or on the Asus website or Flipkart.

The firm advertises that some banks would provide a cash rebate of Rs. 2,000 to customers who make purchases using interest-free EMIs. Until July 15th, Asus is offering a case valued at Rs. 2,000 for only Rs. 1 to everyone who purchases a ROG Ally.
