Diesel is an iconic Italian fashion brand that has expertise in clothing and accessories. One of the many accessories includes smartwatches. The company announced its latest premium smartwatch, the Diesel Full Guard 2.5 globally on Wednesday. The company on Thursday also announced the launch of the smartwatch in India. It will be available in a few select stores in India from November 2018 at a price of Rs. 24,495.
Diesel is known for its bold and chunky looking products that have a different and unique aesthetic to them. This new smartwatch is no exception to this rule and comes with a large and appealing design, which could be due to all the features provided. The smartwatch runs on Google’s Wear OS which is compatible with both Android phones and iPhones. It is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and above (excluding Go edition) and Apple devices running iOS 9.3 and above.
The Diesel Full Guard 2.5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC, which comes with a lot of amazing features such as customizable watch faces, music playback control, rapid charging and smartphone notifications. The smartwatch comes with 300mAh battery with magnetic charging, 512 MB RAM and 4GB of storage. It features a 1.39-inch display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. It also has special weather animations for display that changes according to the weather like snow, rain, cloudy, foggy and more. The smartwatch also sports heart rate tracking, GPS tracking and NFC payment capabilities.
The device will be available in four variants – matte steel case on black leather strap, gunmetal steel case on the brown leather strap, matte black steel case on black silicone strap and an all gunmetal steel case on a three-link bracelet. Two different customization dials will also be available – Neon Flicker and the interactive heart rate dial. The device is also swim-proof with a depth rating of three meters.
