In order to facilitate the distribution of mobile QR tickets, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has released the ‘DMRC Travel’ smartphone app. Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD, Managing Director, DMRC, introduced the app at Metro Bhawan.
The app allows riders to purchase metro tickets on the go, cutting down on wait times.
Get the free ‘DMRC Travel’ mobile app for iOS or Android and sign up for an account. Google or Facebook accounts may be used to sign in. The ‘Book Ticket’ button will become available when you have successfully logged in. After entering the origin and destination stations, choose “Book Ticket.” The cost of each ticket will be shown. You may book your desired number of seats by clicking the “Book Now” button. After that, you may settle up using a debit/credit card, online banking, or UPI.
A mobile QR ticket will be issued upon completion of payment. To enter and leave the airport via the AFC gate, scan the QR code on your ticket.
The DMRC Travel app has just been published for Android, and an iOS version is on the way. In addition to being able to rebook tickets, change destinations, and examine route information from any origin station, the app also allows users to view transaction history and recharge DMRC smart cards. The app is recommended for use on the Delhi Metro, and passengers are urged to download it.
According to the statistics we have, smart cards are used by almost 70% of DMRC passengers. DMRC plans to eliminate tokens and is actively pushing QR code tickets as an alternative.
