iPhone 15 Pro Max Expected With 48-Megapixel Sony Sensor: All Details

iPhone 14

September will bring Apple’s iPhone 15 range. The iPhone 15, 15 Max, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max are projected to return in 2023. The iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra) may have a bigger camera sensor than its predecessor. A 48-megapixel Sony sensor is expected. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX803 sensor.

Ice universe (@UniverseIce) tweeted iPhone 15 Pro Max camera specs. He claims Apple’s next flagship will use a 48-megapixel Sony IMX903 sensor. Last year’s iPhone 14 Pro Max used a Sony IMX803 48-megapixel rear camera.

Sony IMX903 is nearly 1-inch, whereas iPhone 14 Pro Max’s camera is 1/1.28 inches. This bigger sensor would capture photographs with greater light and detail. This may increase the camera bump on the next model.

Recent Chinese Android devices include 1-inch sensors. Apple may beat competitors with the Sony IMX903 sensor on the rear. According to a rumor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max may include a periscope lens for 5-6x optical magnification.

The iPhone 14 series’ 48-megapixel main sensor updated the Pro versions’ cameras. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, f/2.8 aperture lens, and OIS, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with 120-degree field-of-view. The 12-megapixel front True Depth camera has an f/1.9 aperture lens for selfies and video chats. Only Pro versions have bigger camera sensors. The vanilla iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have twin 12-megapixel rear cameras.
