With the release of the Edge 40 across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific, Motorola has extended its Edge portfolio of smartphones. The phone has an 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC.

The 6.55-inch pOLED display on this phone has HDR10+ certification, 144Hz refresh rate, and Full HD+ resolution. The 4,400mAh battery within the smartphone can be charged through wired 68W TurboPower or wireless 15W charging.

Motorola Edge 40: Price and Availability

The recently released Motorola Edge 40 can be purchased in Europe for EUR 599.99 (about Rs. 54,000). The phone first launched in three different colours: Eclipse Black, Lunar Blue, and Nebula Green. The phone has just one storage option, 8GB RAM + 256GB internal memory. The smartphone will soon be available for purchase in European countries.

Motorola Edge 40: Capabilities

The Motorola Edge 40 is a dual-SIM smartphone that comes preinstalled with Android 13. The phone’s display is a 6.55-inch pOLED panel with a Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080) resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, 360 Hz touch sampling rate, 1,200 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ certification. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Motorola Edge 40 arrives with a dual camera configuration on the back, one with a 50-megapixel main sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS) and the other an ultrawide 13-megapixel camera with macro capability. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera sits in a hole-punch design that is symmetrically positioned.

Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Near Field Communication (NFC), and a USB Type-C charging connector are all included. The phone’s sensors include a gyroscope, magnetometer, compass, light detector, and proximity detector. The smartphone has a 4,500mAh battery and supports both cable charging (at 68W with TurboPower) and wireless charging (at 15W). It also has a fingerprint scanner and a facial recognition system built right into the display. It weighs 167g and has dimensions of 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.49mm.
