Now, the same source says WhatsApp is developing a function that allows Android users to transfer chats without using Google Drive as a backup.

The latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.19 update is now available on the Google Play Store, and it reportedly includes a new conversation transfer function for select beta testers. WhatsApp users will soon be able to transfer their conversation history to a new Android smartphone by accessing the functionality in Settings > Chats.

Users may get their conversation history, data, and media by scanning the QR code and then following the on-screen instructions. The tool will also make the transfer process easier for consumers by doing away with the time-consuming step of manually backing up their conversation history to Google Drive.

Users may quickly and effortlessly migrate their conversation history from one Android smartphone to another just by scanning the QR code, eliminating the need to back up and restore their data.
