After the success of Mi Home Security Camera 360, Xiaomi has launched its successor tagged as Mi Home Security Camera Basic with the 130-degree lens. With the launch of this security camera, Xiaomi has expanded its home security portfolio. The camera comes with various outstanding features intact in it like infrared night vision, talkback feature and records videos in 1080p.

The Basic camera is equipped with a 130-degree wide angle lens and 10 large infrared dimming lamps, that can detect motions and can see clearly during the night up to 10 meters. It features an advanced artificial intelligence motion detection feature that helps in reducing false alarms like curtain movements, light changes and insects. This feature is initially disabled by default, it needs to be turned on to get notified, when the motion is detected. The device supports 1080p full HD video recording with maximum 20fps frame rate.
The camera when connected with its application, it enhances a talkback feature that bolsters up the voice calls with full duplex voice call design. The additional feature includes picture-in-picture mode is provided for multitasking on phones which enables the user to pair multiple cameras in different areas and view all the places on a single screen. The one-screen multiple-picture mode can only be accessed on the phones running on Android and iOS.
The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera Basic offers a built-in Bluetooth chip that enables family members to hibernate themselves to the camera after detecting their Mi Bands or phones for privacy. The camera comes with 5V-1A power input, omnidirectional noise-cancelling microphone, microSD card (up to 64GB), Cloud NAS storage support for routers and storage devices. The colour variant available is white. The Mi Home Security Camera Basic has been priced at Rs.2299/- but if purchased through Mi online portal Mi.com, it is available for Rs. 1999/- which is included in its introductory offer.
