This Diwali, ASUS brings good news for all the selfie lovers! ASUS has launched its new device with selfie centric USP. Yes, you’ve heard it right.
ASUS is a well-known reputed brand in the world and always comes with something new and unique. Recently they launched 3 of their new device in Indian market, namely ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie, ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro. All these devices focus on top notch specs with great pricing.
Let’s take a look at ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) which is one of my favorite as of now. ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) on the front features a large 5.5” IPS HD display that is graced with a 2.5D curved glass that gently melds in along with the curved sides, thus making it a joy to hold in the hands without any fatigue. On the back, it got a metallic matte finish. It measures 155.4 x 75.2 x 7.5 mm and weighs 144 grams.
The smartphone features Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and offers 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage, expandable to up to 2TB via microSD card. Here we are getting dedicated tray for Dual Sim as well as for MicroSD card. So, you never need to worry about out of storage.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) features a 20MP main selfie camera, with f/1.8 aperture and can shoot the pictures at the resolution of 5140 x 3860 Pixels. The smartphone also features a front Soft-light LED flash, that softly spreads light on your face to capture true skin tones even in extreme low-light conditions. The smartphone also features a ‘Selfie Panorama’ mode that allows it shoot selfies panoramas that can capture up to 140° FOV, and all made super easy to capture with the new camera interface.
Known as the widest angle selfie camera, the ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) features an 8MP sensor. It sports an FOV of 120°. Meaning you can shoot super wide selfies with you, your family & friends, and the beautiful backdrop you’re all in! ASUS calls it as ‘Wefies’. In addition, the ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) can shoot superb selfie videos at 1080p Full-HD.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) features an amazing 16MP camera at the back as it does on the front, featuring phase detection autofocus (PDAF) that allows you to lock in focus in just 0.03s. Also, it features electronic image stabilization (EIS), enabling you to shoot judder-free Full-HD videos (the resolution of 1920 x 1080.)
We also get different modes which help us to capture better photos. Using these modes we can give wings to our imagination. We get Portrait mode that adds surreal blurred bokeh depth to the background, allowing you to shoot crazy cool bokeh photos anywhere.
We can easily activate the Portrait mode in the phone by just pressing the portrait icon button from the main interface. This mode will work in both front as well as rear camera. Something also that you don’t see among other smartphones.
We also get a Selfie Master App which features full-fledged beautification modes unlike you’re yet to see on any other smartphone. It is laced with the SelfieMaster Technology that enables it to beautify each shot. It can even beautify your face in videos, and while we’re still talking about videos, the ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) also packs in the BeautyLive feature that allow you to beautify yourself while you’re live-streaming on your favourite social media app, such as Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. It also makes use of the Dual-microphones to cancel out ambient noise and keeps your voice intact while you live-stream to the world.
Out the many other enhancement features, I loved the ‘Artistic Selfie Filters’ – The ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) allows selfie photos to be enhanced with a choice of eight Instagram-like filters: Greyscale, Warm, Hipster, Retro, Faded, Nostalgic, Vibrant and Blush. To activate them simply swipe left from the interface of any of the front facing selfie cameras.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) is not shy on sound either, featuring a 5-magnet speaker that is able to put out high-fidelity audio without any distortion even at highest possible volumes. Still keeping the tradition alive with the 3.5mm headphone jack, you can customize the headphone audio with the latest AudioWizard app.
As I’ve already mentioned, the phone offers a Snapdragon 430 Processor with Adreno 505 GPU and gives you great experience while multi-tasking and gaming. I have tried playing all the games like Asphalt 8, Asphalt 8 Xtreme, Nova 3, and Batman. According to the pricing it gives you great performance and multitasking experience. In long run also you will not be facing any issue regarding performance and frame drops.
Making communications and storage easier on the ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) is packed with 4GB of RAM and a whopping 64GB of storage and is capable up to 2TB of expandable storage! The Triple Slot bay that lets you to not just insert two SIM cards, but also a MicroSD card up to 2TB, at the same time with a dedicated slot for the same. Now you can store a lifetime of photos and videos, and still have some space remaining.
Additionally, the smartphone runs Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat along with the latest ZenUI 4.0, which is speedier than ever before while accessing apps and games alike. Not just that, the smartphone is slated for the Android Oreo 8.0 update already, expected to rollout in the first half of 2018.
Battery on the smartphone is pegged at 3000mAh allowing you to sail through an entire day even with aggressive usage and continuous photography.
You will not find even a single complaint regarding the battery part of this phone.
ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie (dual cam version) comes with fast fingerprint sensor which works well like other devices in this price bracket. The phone is also equipped with different sensors like accelerator, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and hall sensor.
This smartphone will exclusively available on Flipkart for Rs 13,999. If we compare the same device with other brand with selfie centric USP, ASUS is the only brand right now which is offering great price with best dual Selfie camera setup. So, without any second thoughts just get one for yourself.
