It takes around 6.5 to 15 hours to charge, based on the type of charger that you use. The fast charging takes up to 6.5 hours for a full charge. The company claims this vehicle will go from 0 to 100 Km/hr in just nine seconds. It has multiple driving modes and has loads of brilliant interior and exterior features. On the inside, it has a Harman-sourced touchscreen entertainment system.
It has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and disc brakes on all 4 wheels.
2. MG ZS EV
With a starting price of Rs. 22 lakh, the MG ZS electric vehicle comes with a range of 461 km on a single full charge. It has a seating capacity of 5 people and uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The transmission type is automatic, and it has a battery capacity of 50.3 kWh.

3. Tata Tigor EV

The seating capacity is for up to 5 people and has a battery capacity of 26 kWh. It comes with an automatic transmission.

4. Tata Nexon EV
This electric car by Tata has a starting price of Rs. 14.79 lakh. The range is just okay at 312 km on a single full charge. It uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor and has an automatic transmission. It provides a seating capacity of 5 people. The battery capacity of this EV is 30.2 kWh.

It takes approximately an hour to charge the Nexon EV from 0 to 80 per cent with the help of the fast charger. It has a semi-digital instrument cluster that includes a 7 inches TFT display. For safety, it has dual airbags on the front, 4 disc brakes, hill descent control and hill-hold assist.
5. Hyundai Kona Electric
The Hyundai Kona electric car has a seating capacity of 5 people and has a range of up to 450 km on a single full charge. It can go from 0 to 100 km/hr in 9.7 seconds. It has an automatic transmission and a battery capacity of 39.2 kWh. With a small portable charger, it takes up to 19 hours for a full charge but if you use a fast charger, it can get charged from 0 to 100 per cent in approximately 6 hours.

6. Mahindra E Verito
This electric vehicle by Mahindra starts at a price of Rs. 9.13 lakh. It doesn’t have a decent range which is quite a bummer as it goes up to 110 Km on a single full charge. It has an automatic transmission and a battery capacity of 288 aH. It uses a 72V 3 Phase AC induction motor. The E Verito has a seating capacity of 5 people.
It clocks a top speed of 86 km/her, and it most certainly looks and feels like a large sedan. It has a Revive feature that helps add some additional range to the vehicle in an emergency. There are not a lot of additional features available at this price range which somewhat makes it a dicey choice for people out there.
Upcoming Cheapest Electric Cars in India
1. Mahindra eKUV 100
The expected price for this electric car is around Rs. 8.25 lakh. It is expected to have a 5-seater capacity and an automatic transmission. It may come with a 15.9 kWh battery pack. The range is on the lower end, set close to 147 km on a single full charge.

It can be charged from 0 to 55 % in 55 minutes using a fast charger. A regular one on the other hand will take close to 6 hours for a full charge.
2. Tata Altroz EV
Tata seems to be making a lot of advancements in this EV sector with a wide range of products at different price points. The Altroz EV is expected to launch at a price tag of Rs. 12 lakh. It may have a driving range up to 300 km which is fairly decent. The charging time is expected close to 8 hours from 0 to 100%. The battery capacity is expected to be 26 kWh and the transmission will be automatic.
The seating capacity will be up to 5 people in this electric car.
3. MG E230 EV
MG Motor India hasn’t revealed all their plans for launching their electric car in India, but the leaked patented images provide some concept ideas and what we can expect from them.
This car could be priced below Rs. 10 lakh, and it is expected to have a range of 150 km on a single full charge. The battery capacity could be 20 kWh, and the vehicle will have 4 seats. They can probably give tough competition to others with low-cost maintenance and competitive pricing.
