A growing TV market Thomson, which is owned by non-another than Technicolor a leading French consumer brand has launched a range of smart TVs in the Indian market. The Brand has signed an exclusive agreement with Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd. The company has introduced its 43″ UHD 4k TV along with 40″ and 32″ variant, which will be available to buy on Flipkart.com from April 13th in a flash sale at 12 noon.
“Technicolor, owner of Thomson brand is very proud to sign a long-term license with SPPL as a strategic partner to develop Thomson’s presence in India“, Said Claire Villeneuve, Head, IP&L, Technicolor France. With the launch, the company is aiming to capture 6 to 7 % of the Indian TV market, which is quite achievable. The TV is made of considering the global TV standards so it will not encounter with any sort of problem in the configuration.
So far, what we can say is that the TV seems promising and the starting price of 13490 INR is also fair but in this market where Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony are core players, it will be a tough challenge for the company to establish a trust with the Indian consumers. But again, Thomson Smart TV pricing are really very great as compare to other brands. Thomson’s 32, 40 and 43-inch TVs priced at Rs 13,490 for the 32-inch HD+ 32M3277 model,Rs 27,999 for the 43-inch 4K UHD 43TM4377 model and Rs 19,990 for 40-inch full-HD 40TM4099 model.
