Vivo sent out invites containing a big ‘X’ which possibly hints at the launch of X-series of smartphones in India on 29th May. The catching feature of the X21 UD is the presence of an on-screen fingerprint sensor instead of any physical home button. This would be the second device by Vivo to use this technology, the first being in Vivo X20 Plus UD which wasn’t launched in India. As per the recent Google I/O Developer Keynote, Vivo X21 UD will be the third phone in India which will get Android P Beta support after the Nokia 7 Plus and to be released OnePlus 6.
The Vivo X21 UD will run on Vivo’s own FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo right out of the box. It is a dual-SIM smartphone with 6.28 inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels with 19:9 aspect ratio. The device is run by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB RAM. It contains 128GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. The device features a vertical rear dual camera setup having a 12MP f/1.8 primary sensor and 5MP f/2.4 secondary sensor.
