OnePlus TV is Expected to Launch In India in Few Months

The flagship smartphone maker, OnePlus has been rumoured to have been working on a premium television set. Last year in September, CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau announced on the forums about the new product they are working on, that is, the OnePlus TV. It is expected to be a ‘premium, flagship TV’ and bring a ‘total connected’ experience for the users.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal said in his tweet,” Have some good news for you all: The OnePlus TV is not very far away, at least according to one source. The launch might be soon, so stay tuned. I have very high expectations from it, what about you?”

OnePlus-Smart-TV

To compete with the competition in budget television range, OnePlus might have to price the OnePlus TV aggressively against the Xiaomi’s Mi TV. Ishan Agarwal doesn’t mention any launch date but in a follow-up tweet, mentions that the OnePlus TV will not use OLED panel to cut down costs. With almost no confirmed details about the OnePlus TV, some of the rumours and reports suggest that it might feature 4K HDR support and an AI assistant, most likely to be the Google Assistant. Some reports also suggest that OnePlus TV will be an Amazon exclusive device.

CEO Pete Lau also mentioned in a media interview,” The home – perhaps the most important environment experience – is just starting to enjoy the benefits of intelligent connectivity. Something that seems as simple as displaying the photos from your mobile phone to a television is still difficult to achieve. With the development of AI technology, our imagination is endless – and we are looking forward to the future.”

Best Tech for the Broke College Student

College might be the best years of your life, but for many students, it’s also a time of financial hardship. Even if a student manages to secure one or more scholarships, the cost of living nationwide continues to increase and without the money made from a full-time job, it can be hard to truly make the most of your college years.

However, affordable tech is changing that phenomenon. No matter what your financial situation looks like, there are countless cheap tech tools available that are fun, can boost your quality of life, and mitigate some of the challenges you face during those extremely important college years.

The following tech will allow you to:

  • Have fun
  • Work productively
  • Find peace and quiet
  • Make it easy to clean your living space

Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Noise Canceling Earbuds

People tend to agree that freshman year is iconic. For many, it’s the first time they’ve lived away from home. They make new friends, go on dates, and experience life on their own while juggling the rigors of a college education.

However, no one really prepares you for how noisy it’s going to be. While most dorms enforce noise level restrictions following a certain hour, your roommate’s snoring might ruin your ability to sleep. With that in mind, countless companies have rolled out noise-canceling earbuds, which can be used to help you sleep and work productively regardless of the constant chatter.

Portable Speakers

Sometimes you want to wash out the noise, but other times you’re going to want to add to it. Enter portable speakers.

Wherever you and your friends go, portable speakers almost always enhance the occasion. They’re also incredibly affordable. Because they’re in such high demand, companies are in constant competition to try and build the highest quality speakers at the lowest possible price. The output of this competitiveness is affordability.

Robo Vacuums

If there’s one thing college dorms and houses are not known for, it’s their cleanliness. There are many reasons (read: excuses) for this, but if there’s one thing that’s true, it’s that clean-living is conducive to relaxation and productivity.

While investing in an air purifier may seem excessive, a simpler alternative, like a robo vacuum, can do wonders in terms of keeping your space clean. All you have to do is turn the unit on and voila! They’ll start wandering the room and cleaning the floor.

Affordable Laptops

Every college student needs a laptop. Yet, the new MacBook priced upwards of $3k might not be in the budget. In fact, it probably isn’t. But that won’t stop you from being able to afford a quality laptop. If you’re looking for the hardware you’ll use throughout the year, then be sure to search for these qualities:

  • Affordability: It’s possible to find the best laptop under 500 dollars if you’re willing to look for the right deals and promotions.
  • Portability: When you’re jumping between classrooms, coffee shops, and your home, lugging around a large laptop can be an enormous hassle. Finding one that’s slim and can easily slip into a backpack or bag should be your goal.
  • Processing Power: College projects often require you to have multiple tabs open on your computer. You may have to jump between researching, writing, and even designing charts and graphics. Ensuring your computer can handle all of these tasks will allow you to be as productive as possible.

Best Tech for the Broke College Student 1

Drones

It’s hard to understate how exciting it is to pilot a drone. And today, you can find drones under 400 dollars that can do what bulkier, multi-thousand dollars units did only a few years prior.

While your priority is obtaining an excellent education, that doesn’t mean that you can’t revel in the freedom that is your college years. A drone can provide tons of recreational fun and amazing aerial photography that you’ll be glad you captured. The older generations had film, the iPhone generation had digital, now you can have aerial.

Being a Broke, Tech-Loving College Student

As you can see from this list, it doesn’t require thousands of dollars to enjoy tech on a budget. College might be an expensive time but if you’re crafty enough, you can buy everything you need and want without going into debt doing so.

6 Effective SEO Techniques for Law Firms

0

In a highly competitive digital age, creating and implementing a solid law firm SEO strategy is vital to stand out from the rest of the pack and rank well in search.

But when it comes to creating a successful SEO campaign, what exactly is the key to success?

As you’re already aware, getting more visibility and generating more leads to your site is already challenging. Maybe, you have attracted the attention of clients with very little success.

If you’re reading this, then you’ve come to the right place. In this post, we’ll talk about the six effective SEO techniques that you can apply in your law firm:

1. Keyword Selection

6 Effective SEO Techniques for Law Firms 2

One of the first steps that you need to take in your SEO campaign is to do keyword research. It helps you gain insight into the different words and phrases that people are typing on search engines that could be relevant to your practice.

Through research, you’ll be able to know the most relevant and commonly used keywords and identify the ones that you can capitalize on.

Usually, the more common ones are the most competitive, and the most difficult to rank for.

That’s why, it’s essential to do keyword research within your niche market to ensure you’re targeting your customers directly, with lesser competition.

2. High-quality Content

6 Effective SEO Techniques for Law Firms 3

Another crucial factor for SEO is regularly creating high-quality content for your site.

Aim for the type of content that’s informative, useful and relevant. Content that will pull in users to your site.

So, focus on creating something that’s authentic and useful, with relevant keywords incorporated in your website and blog.

You can also prioritize writing long-form content (1,890 words or more) as they tend to rank higher on search results. Although they’re a little longer to write, it’s worth the effort in the end.

3. Calls To Action

See to it that your site includes buttons and other calls-to-action. Once you managed to draw in a prospect, it’s essential that you make it easy for them to continue their relationship with you.

Your CTA should be simple, clear, and action-oriented. Your goal is to make your visitors your clients. So, your CTAs should be compelling, punchy, and do everything to encourage action from your visitors quickly.

Ideally, users should know what they can get when contacting you. So, they should be also easy to find, without becoming too pushy about it.

For instance, using the word, “we can help” can be a powerful CTA. It gives clear options to the user ‒ to either give back by donating to a pro bono case or schedule a consultation.

4. Social Media

6 Effective SEO Techniques for Law Firms 4

Instagram is a social media platform that received dramatic changes (and growth!) recently. It isn’t something that you need to overlook, because utilizing it can help you reach more prospects on a whole new level.

Looking for the right hashtags that perfectly aligns with your SEO strategy will help you find more clients in the long run.

Moreover, posting real-life pictures of your team makes you more human, encouraging people to connect with you online. It might include posting photos of attending a local charity event or team building activities. It goes out to all social media platforms as well ‒ as photos tend to get more clicks and likes.

5. Site Speed

6 Effective SEO Techniques for Law Firms 5

Do you know that 47 percent expect a site to load within 2 seconds? If it takes longer than that, 40 percent of users will leave.

Users today don’t have the patience for slow-loading sites. If it takes too long to load, they’ll leave and move on to your competitors.

Several factors can play a crucial role in your site speed ‒ unoptimized plug-ins, large images, multiple ads, unnecessary widgets and so on.

Immediately solving these issues will significantly boost your site’s loading time, and enhance your SEO strategy in the long run.

6. SSL Certificate

6 Effective SEO Techniques for Law Firms 6

Having an SSL Certificate is a standard security practice for any website on the internet. Here are four compelling reasons why you should have an SSL in your site:

  • HTTPS is a critical signal in the algorithm ranking of Google.
  • Approximately 82 percent of users do not go through with the entire purchase if they don’t see an SSL on the payments section of the website.
  • SSL certificates play a tiebreaker between two competing websites on Google’s search results.
  • HTTPS compromises about 40% of Google page one organic listing

Over to You

To compete with other law firms in your area, you need to have a solid SEO strategy and a robust online presence. Remember, that the first place people will come to look for information online is search engines. There, they will look for law firms that are close by, and search for the ones that will give them the service that they’re looking for.

That’s why, if you don’t have any SEO plan yet, it’s time to start now so that you can start getting found online.

Google has Finally Decided to Stop Making Tablets, Its End for Pixel Slate

Google has cancelled its two unreleased tablet devices and won’t be pursuing the tablets segment any more. According to a Google spokesperson, ”For Google’s first-party hardware efforts, we’ll be focusing on Chrome OS laptops and will continue to support Pixel Slate.” Google had only one device under the Pixel branding, named as the Pixel Slate.

There is no clarity as to why exactly Google has discontinued the tablet line, but Computerworld clarifies that Google considers a tablet to be a device that detaches completely from a keyboard base or has no physical keyboard at all. The news regarding discontinuation of the tablets was revealed to the employees at an internal company meeting on Wednesday.

google-pixel-slate

“Google is currently working to reassign employees who were focused on the abandoned projects onto other areas. Many of them, I’m told, have already shifted over to the laptop side of that same self-made hardware division.”

There are only two strong competitors Apple and Samsung in the table segment as of now, where the popularity of Apple might be the reason for discontinuing as well. Google still plans to offer support to the Pixel Slate till June 2024. The Chrome OS, on which the Pixel Slate and Pixelbook, will still remain in action and the team will continue software development for tablets and laptops so that other manufacturers can still use Chrome OS for their devices.

The focus of Google now shifts to laptops and we can expect a new successor to the Pixelbook. The Pixel phones will not be affected in any way in regard to this new change in the company.
