Top 7 Content Mistakes Every E-commerce Blog Should Avoid

The goal of every other business, whether online or not is to attain maximum profits in the long run. Unfortunately, most businesses do not clinch to their dream position because of some few mistakes they make while traveling on the road to success. For any online business, the key aspect is having great valuable E-commerce blog content. The content you have on your blog will determine whether or not you will get traffic. Huge traffic generates lots of income. If you are looking to strive in your online business, then you should stick around as we share some content mistakes online businesses should avoid.

1. Not Focusing on Your Customers

Your customers are the backbone of your business and without them, there is absolutely no business to operate. Once you have built a good and strong relationship with your clients, there will be no reason for you not to succeed. What you should do is understand what your customers are looking for and meet that need in the best way possible. Even if their feedback might be negative in some way, it is important that you address their issues in the best manner possible. Create content that addresses the issues relating to your customers. If you fail to create captivating content, your customers will most certainly move to your competitors. It is thus imperative to concentrate on your customer base.

2. Not Focusing On Your E-commerce Blog Content’s Quality

It is important to realize that the digital world is increasingly becoming competitive and driven by content. It is not just a matter of posting sub-standard content. Assuming your competitors are doing the same thing, then that is to say that only low-quality content will flood the market. Concentrate on your company’s E-commerce blog and create valuable content for your customers. Some tips on how to create valuable information include:

  • Create concrete objectives.
  • Carry out research before posting any content.
  • Do not ignore the small matters.
  • Search for reviews of companies that can edit your content or use great writing tools such as:
  1. Hubspot’s Topic Generator – this is a tool that can be used to generate headline ideas as well as content ideas for your website.
  2. Hemingway Editor – this amazing tool points out some common problems in weak writing. It identifies issues and categorizes them into different categories so that you know how to fix them.
  3. Grammarly – this tool allows you to learn how to write properly. However, to use it, you need to sign up and create and account with them. Creating an account will cost you nothing.
  4. Canva – this is a great tool for those bloggers who are design-challenged. With it, you can create custom designs and images that look great and at a very short period as compared to other design software.
  5. Thinglink – this is a new tool that enables you to create a particular type of interactive content. It is one of the best ways to improve your reader engagement rate.
  • Solidify the role of your marketing strategy.
  • Keep track of your progress.

3. Not Having an E-commerce Blog Content Plan

This is a mistake that many starters make. At the beginning of their business, people fail to put effort into their content marketing. This makes getting social and organic traffic difficult. The solution to this problem falls back to understanding your customers’ needs. You can create a content plan not according to your said product, but according to the tastes and preferences of your customers. You will want to have more in common with your customer than just the fact that they are purchasing an item you sell.

4. Not Hitting the Nail On the Head

In many markets, consumers have various options to select from. You have to give your customers a viable reason as to why they should choose your offer and not your competitors. Many upcoming online business persons simply copy content from other successful sites thinking maybe it might work for them. You can never develop your audience by being an inferior version of another well-known site. You need to be different.

5. Commencing with Several Wrong Expectations

Making success is never easy neither fast. Creating great and captivating content is especially difficult if you have a full-time job. Most people assume that coming up with content is as easy as ABC. Success does not come overnight. In most cases, your actual original plan may fail and the need to overcome this failure and rewrite it over and over again might save your skin. You can inquire from other entrepreneurs what they did to achieve their levels of success and what it really takes to over possible challenges.

6. Thinking Too Much and Doing Very Little

If your percentage of thinking to doing is less than 80% then it is time for you to do more. As the CEO of your business, it is for you to think about strategic decisions and plans for the way forward. But it just doesn’t stop there. You have to be a worker-bee. Highlight the important aspects in your blog content so as to increase traffic and generate leads to your website.

7. Doing It Alone

Gang up with people who won’t allow you to quit. Team up with those who believe in you and your content and are willing to help you better your E-commerce blog. As a content creator, you need the support of other more experienced entrepreneurs who are at similar or advanced stages as you. Share your struggles and review your progress over time.

Wrapping it up

The success of a business comes after thoroughly working for it. You can rest assured to clinch success if you avoid the above-mentioned mistakes. Take the needs of your customers at heart and create valuable blog content that addresses they needed. You will thank yourself for avoiding these mistakes.

4 Tips to Measure the Content Effectiveness When You Create It

2

Over the years, content marketing has become the core of marketing strategies for businesses.  The importance of content, quality-wise and quantity-wise, is out of the question here. You see everyone creating content, and you see their businesses booming; so there must be something in the content that is positively affecting their marketing strategies. But how to relate the content marketing with the ROI? It is a challenge that not many businesses seem to win. Let’s discuss some of the ways here, on how to measure the effectiveness of the content on your businesses and how to align our content creation for better impact.

#1 Track the Content Creation Process

It starts from within. How the content will perform in the market depends heavily on how the content creators you have employed perform while creating the content. The time they consume in creating a certain amount of content, the resources they use, the process they follow to create the content, all these factors can be a measure of how the content will perform when marketed through different channels.

Knowing the matrices mentioned above enables you to put your efforts and resources into removing any hurdles for the content creators so they may perform to their fullest and create quality content efficiently—or to determine whether you’re better off creating content internally versus outsourcing to a site like Upwork or Essay Republic. Once you are able to track and control your content creation process, you will be in a better position to plan for better content marketing.

#2 Track the Content Activation Process

The majority of the content you produce is for your marketing and sales departments. Normally what happens is that you give piles of the content to your sales and marketing team and wait for the results. This is where many businesses fail to realize that tracking the effective use of content by the sales/marketing teams is the most critical part of tracking the effectiveness of the content. And here is the reason; about 70% of the content you give to your sales team or marketers is wasted.

If this is the case, you can ask your team why create the content in the first place when it is going to the bin without even being considered to be posted. This not only drains a lot of energy from your content creation team but also puts stress on your budget that you allocate for your content marketing efforts.

To minimize the waste of time and resources at such a scale, you must sit and talk to your sales and marketing teams and ask them about the channels they use to market the content. You can invite your content development manager in the meeting also so that both the teams know each other’s preferences.  This will help the content developers to keep in minds the needs of marketers along with the needs of the audience.

If you keep this practice alive for quite some time, you will see the amount of useless content dropping. Also, you will find that the marketing team is finding it easier to choose the content of their needs and they will eventually be able to perform more efficiently.

#3 Track your Content Reach

By tracking the content reach, we don’t simply mean the number of views, clicks, or visits.  For the business managers with a good understanding of today’s market, these numbers, although very important in many ways, cannot fully represent the impact of the content on the business.  As a business manager who looks forward to his content marketing a key factor in boosting the business, you need to know the people who show some interest in your content. You need to dig deeper into their interests and preferences. Who are those clickers, what items of your content make them more interested and excited and what type of content they tend to avoid.

An inside-out familiarity with your audience will help in aligning your content marketing strategy with the preferences of your most valuable targets. You will be able to attract more and more of the real clients who go beyond clicking. In other words, you will be able to do better segmentation of your contents according to the interests of a diverse customer base. Every customer comes with a unique demand and goal, and if he finds your content more related to his requirements, he will be more inclined to pursue a business relation with you.

#4 Track the Content Conversion

It is established from the previous section that conversions depend on how well you personalize your content for various segments of your target audience. One way to relate your content with the number of conversions is to rate your content based on the points discussed in the previous sections. The higher the score of your content, the more chances it has to convert your clients. But still, it is easier said than done; it’s a tough ask to directly relate the content with your conversions.

To get a more realistic score of your content, you need to walk in the shoes of a buyer and pass the content through each step of the creation to publication. How well the content meets its target in each step of the process. Giving a numerical value to the efforts put in every step of content creation and distribution will give you a better and accurate picture of the potential that a piece of content has.

Conclusion:

The effectiveness of the content can be measured by tracking the whole process from start to success (because there is no end to a good piece of content.) Walking cautiously through every step of content creation while keeping in mind both the audience and marketing team will lead to the creation of highly optimized content.  And to measure the effectiveness, you should rate every piece of content based on how well it passes each step.

Now that you have got the idea of measuring your content effectiveness, you shouldn’t wait to apply your knowledge in your content strategy.

Why Startup Companies Can Benefit From The .Net Platform

0

It’s not uncommon for startup founders and developers to question .Net’s usefulness as their platform. Yes, it’s a wonderful platform that startup companies tend to use, and if you plan to use .Net for your project, you should understand the two types of .Net:

• ASP.Net MVC
• ASP.Net or Webforms

Both are different when it comes to the culture and architecture, and even though a website can be built by both, startup companies need to be wary of Webforms. Why? It’s the model that can do more harm than good. Let’s discover pros and cons with help of Outsourcing Company FreezePro Software.

ASP.Net MVC

Many startups use .Net MVC for the framework of their site. Professional .Net developers use it because it has everything the web needs. With the .Net MVC, the code quality is the highest priority. If you need help with your startup programming, you want the assistance of .Net MVC programmers, as they have experience in an array of open source projects.

WebForms

The WebForms framework is a complicated code that goes with a plethora of aggravation. It’s used mainly by corporate developers that don’t need to deal with shipping but deal with documentation and development. WebForms’s Update Panel muddles the development of updating pages or altering the style of a client-side JavaScript app.

What Should You Use The .Net Platform?

StackOverFlow is an example of the scalability .Net can provide. For the longest time, they use one server, running the database and unique web applications. If you use .Net MVC for your startup company, you can easily scale the .Net platform.

Why Startups Don’t Choose .Net For Their Platform

IT industry newcomers choose Ruby or Python for their programming language, but it would seem strange for them to do this since .Net does far more than other platforms. Why would they do this?

Community Cultures Have Vast Differences

The biggest concern isn’t the platform itself but the .Net community culture. The attention is more on established business’ needs. It offers an array of solutions that startups have no issues with just yet. Startups are issues that pertain to support of each browser, concurrency, experience design, etc.

Therefore, it’s not hard to see why startup companies and the .Net community looks in different directions. And, it’s why .Net isn’t the preferred choice for startup businesses. In order for .Net developers to work alongside a new company, they must work with another language that meets that company’s needs. In time, its platform needs will change, and they’ll need something like .Net.

Go With Open Source or Proprietary Type Of Software…

Startup companies are fine with paying for services and tools, but since they are on a budget, they do consider the kind of software they go with – open source of proprietary. Most startups choose the open source concept because it will later allow them to use to use a product they’ve obtained and build it using the open source code.

It’s for that reason Microsoft created BizSpark (which is talked about later on). BizSpark was created for startups, offering them free software, support and services for three years. It allows them to use the .Net platform for no money. After the three-year period is over, the companies must pay for the licenses to use the software.

What Are Startups More Concerned With – Speed or Performance

Startups should be concerned with finding a market for their product and begin creating it. Startups need to realize what their customers’ needs and expectations are. This is where Ruby and JavaScript and Python can be useful. They offer a plethora of advantages due to their infrastructure. Successful companies didn’t focus on speed; they focused on offering a stable product for people to have.

There’s a misconception that .Net cannot handle quick changes. You can develop a brief code using it, allowing for easier refactoring compared to the other platforms. But, .Net does have a negative aspect to it regarding its support and tools.

Python is better for fast prototypes that can quickly become the actual product, as its features can be altered midway. Without any stringent interfaces or typing, certain features can be added, removed or altered easier than the .Net platform.

While long lines of codes are not needed with .Net, readability is often affected if conciseness factors in. In essence, speed is attained at performance’s expense.

Project Scale and Team Affects Platform Choice

If you have a small team, Python may be beneficial due to the speed and plethora of libraries it provides. If you’re creating a large team, you need .Net or something similar for three reasons – ensures safe development, ease to find mistakes and superior-quality. When smaller projects become successful, the team will need to use an important codebase such as .Net.

Scalability

.Net is known for offering a high amount of scalability. If you have a successful startup, using .Net allows you to easily and efficiently scale it.

Don’t Use Azure For Your Platform

Microsoft has encouraged startups to use the Azure platform, but it’s something you should avoid at the beginning. Why? It’s not as fast as .Net, which uses the Windows server. There is host of reasons not to use the Azure platform:

• Long time to debug
• Environment not easily replicated
• Troubling backups
• Forced to work with one hosting provider

Since a startup needs some flexibility and speed, the Azure platform will limit and slow the process down. When scaling is your concern, then you should use the Azure platform. However, in the beginning, stick with .Net.

Startups Should Consider BizSpark Program

Microsoft offers startups the BizSpark Program, which gives you three-year licenses for free to nearly all its products as well as a free MSDN gold subscription. Why three years? The company feels that’s more than enough time for a company to stand on its own before it can start paying for the licenses of programs used. You can still use the products but must pay for them.

Reliance Jio 4G and unlimited calls may remain free until March 2017

Reliance Jio users are decreasing radically regarding subscription. And the preliminary reason behind is the recent demonetization of currencies. A recent report suggested that the subscriber has slipped to less than 50 percent. Obviously, the common man needs currency in their hand rather than a Jio Sim.

Extending free preview offer:

The report also suggested that the company may not achieve their desired target subscriber by the end of 2016. Hence, it is possible that reliance may extend the offer to March 2017.

Growth in mobile gaming:

The industry analysts report suggested that people mainly use Reliance Jio as a secondary service just to leverage the benefits of free voice and data. The report also suggested a rapid growth in online gaming after the Jio 4G service.

Meanwhile, slow connection speed, poor voice calling has been the main factor behind the decrease of the consumers. The customers are complaining about social media and telephone, but as far now, there has been no proper solution for that.

According to data published on the report, large sections of JIO customer have expressed serious apprehensions about the drop in the speed during the last two months. Recently, the regulator TRAI had directed Reliance JIO to fix December 3 as the cut-off date for issuing free Reliance Jio SIM cards under the free preview offer.

Top 5 Content Writing Mistakes That Will Wipe Your Blog Out

Content writing is what you do best. However, you might be so involved in all tasks you have to manage that some mistakes might be passing unnoticed by you. Scaring, isn’t it? So why not to count on a list of top five content writing mistakes so that you can have it beside you from now on? Every time that you finish a post, before hitting the “Publish” button, have a look at it and make sure that you haven’t done any of them and have peace of mind from now on.

1. Writing what you think it is best

What you think it is best is not necessarily what you should be doing. And you know why? Because what matter is what your visitor wants to read. Even if you got the most amazing idea ever, and you feel like you could conquer the world with it, stop for a minute to consider if it is relevant for your reader. If it is, great, you can easily get more and more followers by sharing such content via social media, but make sure your social media skills are good enough for that. If it is not, think about something else.

2. Not editing and proofreading it

You are in a hurry, and you are an experienced writer. You have been doing it for years, and you know the topic very well. So what you do? You just finish writing your post and publish it without editing or proofreading it. NEVER. DO. IT. EVER. AGAIN. Exactly because you are so sure of yourself, you might be writing partly in automating mode, and it can lead to many errors. So always re-read and improve what you did.

3. Using unreliable sources

That website looks OK, and their Facebook page gets tons of comments. So they must be a reliable source, right? Wrong. First of all, people just need to have money to buy a great website, and they add several links to you in a few hours. And comments can be bought too. So make sure that you check your sources and never be enchanted by looks in order to not get punished by Google.

4. Ignoring tools that can help your content writing

The chances are that you are busy. Everybody is, so you probably can relate to it. So why not make the most of the best online tools that you can find so to get your work in less time? Alternatively, start doing it in a more efficient way? So let’s see some of the tools and services that can help you on it.

Google Analytics will let you know everything you need to stay on the right path. And yes, this type of information is vital for you, as you need to know what you are doing right and wrong so to improve it. Plus, it tells you everything you need about your target audience, from location to behavior.

Google Webmaster Tool is another option that you can’t live without. There you will know which are your most valuable pages and posts so you can use them as a reference on your future creations. And it is all free of charge for you.

Quora is an online community that will save your life if you run out of ideas for your content. It can also help you finding reliable sources – just check the verified profiles, and you will find many people there who know their businesses very well. And you can either search for what you need or write your own questions and wait for an answer.

If you are getting lost with so many notes, then it is time for you to check Evernote. This app works on multiple devices (desktop and mobile), and it is ready to help you to keep your notes – even the handwritten ones – organized in a way you have never seen before. And if you buy the premium version, you can get even more.

5. Not creating an outline before starting to write

And before starting to write anything, you should make sure that you create an outline to each one of your posts, even the short ones. It will help you to consider the format first, and then figure out which information you need to gather in order to achieve it. This way the final quality of your posts will be much better.

The bottom line

There you got the top 5 mistakes of content writing that will wipe your blog out. So keep this post close to you every time you are going to write and use it as a checklist. It will certainly increase your traffic and improve the way you create content from now on.

Well, don’t worry, below is a list of changes for you to watch out for in the next five years.

Say Goodbye to the “Blogger” and Hello to the “Influencer”

Every day more and more people are developing successful businesses without even creating a website or blog.  Thanks to the rise of such platforms as YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram, there are more opportunities than ever to market yourself.  On top of that, posting your content on these platforms is considerably less time-consuming than what it takes to run a standard blog, while at the same time, offering a significant level of real-time measurement and engagement.

Watch out for companies and brands to use these newer platforms – and whatever else gets hot in the next few years – to leverage themselves more and more while partnering with blogs less.

Everything Goes Mobile

The future is the responsive design.  And if your site isn’t equipped yet to smoothly and instantly adjust to screen size changes, then you need to get it so it does.

In fact, Google actually now drops you in its ranking if your site isn’t responsive to mobile.  But regardless, there’s already a very good chance a significant portion of your audience is viewing your site on a mobile screen and you’ve got to keep them happy.  You can go here to find out just how mobile-friendly your site is.

Blogs’ Content Becomes More Visual

It’s critical for bloggers to know what kinds of content draws in the most viewers.  And with the was society is going, it’s not at all surprising to see things heading in a far more visual direction.  Surveys show that video now ranks at the top of what forms of content site visitors pay the most attention to, and things continue to stay short and sweet after that with social media posts ranking way up there in popularity as well.  However,  readers will always be looking for well-written, informative content, and you can never go wrong seeking out reviews of professionals to create amazing custom writing for you.

Comments Become Irrelevant

Although the comments section of a blog can be an entertaining place to spend some time, the truth is that brands really don’t care about them.  What companies are interested in is sales, clicks, and engagement that leads to their own sites or platforms.  So for a blogger, using comments as a metric to discuss or negotiate a potential partnership with a brand will cease to be much of bargaining chip.

As for site visitors who liked to use the comments section as a sort of mini-forum to further carry out their own conversations stemming from a particular blog post, due to the difficulty of commenting through a mobile device or deciding to simply use a private discussion room, that practice is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Things Go Graphic

Infographics are quickly becoming all the rage.  And as more websites go for a minimalist approach with their content, having crisp, clear, easy-to-grasp graphics to back up your text will be critical to your blog’s success.

But what if you have no design skills?

No problem.  Tools such as PicMonkey and Canva can help you create sharp, engaging graphics for your website that will help you its appearance on the cutting edge in the years to come.

Conclusion

As the mega internet influencers like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook continue to reshuffle the online stage, it’s essential to stay in-sync with the latest technologies and consumer behaviors that result from them.  The bloggers who are best able to both anticipate and adapt to the dynamic changes will not only be the ones at the top of their game five years from now but will also be topping the rankings for many years after that.

How Gadgets and Nature Go Hand in Hand in the Wilderness

Technology and nature are usually thought of as opposite ends of a spectrum. However, technology and nature can live in harmony, as well. We would never find out about many animals and plants if we didn’t have handy tech devices to make videos and take photos of them. It goes without saying that gadgets are great helpers in the preservation of the environment. In line with that, in the following paragraphs, nature lovers can learn more about same state-of-the-art gadgets that allow people to get closer to nature.

Mavericks Tent

Avant-garde tents

Although tents aren’t gadgets, some of them can stand shoulder to shoulder to any high-tech device. Here, we’d like to present the inflatable tents produced by Heimplanet. This manufacturer offers a whole line of sturdy compact tents that should be part of every survival kit. From the Cave model that will keep you protected from winds as strong as 75 mph to the Mavericks tent, which can allegedly withstand even 110-mph winds, your camping wildlife adventure won’t be completely safe without one of these beauties.

Adventure speakers

Every trip to the wilderness needs to be both adventurous and fun. And the key prerequisite for fun is preparing the right music for the trip. In addition to the playlist, it’s also important to have proper speakers for the natural environment that will surround you. Not only that those speakers need to be powerful and small at the same time, but they also have to be waterproof. Just imagine a cozy summer mountain drizzle at dusk while you and your friends are dancing around the fire to the music blasting from your sturdy speakers. Here you can check out the most popular waterproof models in 2016.

Devices for visuals

No matter if you want to make photos and videos only for your own collection or to share them through different online media channels, trips to the wilderness require adequate equipment for making proper visuals.

Needless to say, having a mobile phone on your trip gives you dozens of options, like making videos and photos, as well as sending them immediately to whomever you want. Still, sometimes they can’t meet more advanced visual demands.

This is why bringing more sophisticated video-making devices, such as the cutting-edge models of Brinno cameras, will offer you an opportunity to make first-class materials and publish those videos or photos on distinguished websites or magazines.

Finally, don’t forget to get a pair of night vision binoculars or goggles, so as to prepare yourself for thrilling night watches in the wilderness.

Camera

Charging without electricity

When going to the woods or remote mountain spots, you’ll most probably be detached from the electricity as you know it. Therefore, your camping kit needs to contain various charging devices.

  • Power bank(s) – extremely handy for nature trips. If you know you’ll be without electricity for days, get a couple of power banks.
  • Solar chargers – no sockets doesn’t mean no power, if you have a solar charger. Some of those models will keep your battery alive even on a cloudy day. Find out more about them in a review brought by the Independent.
  • Fire chargers – believe it or not, your campfire can also serve as a great source of energy for your gadgets. Learn more about flame chargers here.

Orientation add-ons

Even if you pack your camping bag with various charging solutions, your gadgets will still be useless if there’s no network signal in the area you want to explore. However, you shouldn’t worry too much, because a satellite messenger will track your position. This simple device is connected directly to the satellite and keeps you in contact with civilization via GPS.

In addition, you should consider getting a military watch with an altimeter, a compass and other useful features, so that you can always have proper orientation wherever you might be.

When you want to explore the wildlife and spend some time in the wilderness, gadgets will be your best allies in recording all the wild miracles that you see along the way. What’s more, they will also keep you safe and connected to the world. Therefore, bring your gadgets, use them as much as you can and have a great time observing the wonders of nature.
