Realme, a Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched Realme 5s along with Realme X2 Pro. Realme 5s was launched today by the Oppo spin-off brand, Realme. 5S is an advanced version of Realme 5. The Realme 5S comes with a 48-megapixel camera at the back.

Coolpad Cool 5 sports a USB-C port at the bottom. The port helps in providing faster data transfer and ensures that the device remains a little more protected. The smartphone supports either two Nano-SIM cards or a SIM and a microSD card and it also features a fingerprint scanner at that back for authentication. Overall Build quality is nice, Dual-color at the back really looks awesome and premium. The interesting part is that the display produces colors and contrast as well that makes the videos abruptly dim or brighten. They feature plastic back and feels quite handy while in daily use.

They have all the necessary buttons and ports which are available in all smartphones such as volume rockers, power lock key, Audio Jack and list goes on. Nothing specifically added which need to be purely mentioned in this content.

Coolpad Cool 5 has Android 9 pie supported with Coolpad’s custom Cool UI version 4.0 layered on top of it and is powered by a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset. The phone is not a high-performance smartphone but you feel no lag in day to day tasks. I won’t recommend it for playing high graphics games like Pubg Mobile.

The Coolpad Cool 5 is backed up by a battery of 4000mAh. The battery is further supported by the “power manager” application which helps to manage elongated battery life.

All these modes take a few seconds after clicking to process and save the image which clearly indicates the shutter lag. Personally, shutter lag is no longer common in budget models. This can be a serious drawback for this budget-friendly smartphone. The Coolpad Cool 5 features a selfie camera of 16MP without any sort of flash. The selfie camera supports all the modes the same as on the rear camera except for bokeh. Instead of bokeh mode, the smartphone supports portrait mode. As per this feature, all the users with Android phones featuring a traditional capacitive fingerprint sensor or a modern in-display fingerprint sensor can use it lock their WhatsApp even if anyone else has the access to your smartphone. However, the major setback of this update is the massive battery drain on popular android phones like OnePlus, Samsung and Xiaomi. This issue was reported by many users and it needs an immediate fix.

As per the data available, the users are reporting an average idle drain of 33-40 percent. This percentage is the same for both the latest version of Androids i.e. Android 9 and Android 10 build on all OnePlus smartphones. The same issue was reported by Samsung users. The people with Samsung Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy Note 1o series have also reported an increase in battery drain because of the latest update of the WhatsApp. In the same manner, Google Pixel users, as well as Xiaomi users have also reported the same. The major thing noted was that the version of Whatsapp used by all these users in 2.19.308. As for now, the WhatsApp has not yet rolled out a fix for this now but users should expect a solution to this problem very soon.
