The ASUS sub-brand Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced that the ROG Masters 2017 India, South Asia Qualifiers and the Finals will take place on 19th August at The Lalit in Bengaluru, India. The registration process has already been started.
Similar to the previous year, the games hosted this year will be CS: GO and Dota 2. This year, the epic gaming journey will roll through the world in four phases.
Phase 1: Open Qualifiers
Open qualifiers will be held in more than 30 countries in which APAC (Asia-Pacific), EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and America regions will have their own open qualifiers.
Phase 2: Regional Qualifier
In this phase, EMEA and America regions will host a round of online qualifiers, which would permit only those teams that cleared Phase 1 i.e. the Open Qualifiers. Meanwhile, the APAC region will have a round of offline qualifier.
Phase 3: Regional Finals
Here the Regional Qualifier winners from each of the four regions will have to compete with the professional teams invited directly to the Regional Finals.
Phase 4: Grand Finals
The grand finale is scheduled to be held in November. There will be 6 teams per game in the finals, fighting against each other consisting 2 APAC teams, 2 EMEA teams and 1 team of America and China each.
Laying emphasis on the APAC, the South-Asia group consists of India, Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka. As mentioned the Indian qualifier will take place in two phases. Offline Indian Qualifier (Phase 1) and India Online Open (Phase 2). The offline qualifier will be hosted from July 08 to July 25 and will have a total of 16 cafes across 8 cities. On the other hand, India Online Open is scheduled to begin from July 27.
In Online qualifier, three winning teams per game will proceed to South Asia finals. In phase 3, four teams from India and one team each from Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh per game will compete with each other to reach the APAC Regional Qualifiers, whose finale will be held at Bankok in October 2017.
The award prize for the South-Asia winner is Rs.10,00,000 whereas the total tournament prize for both the games is Rs.32,000,000. Thus, it is an amazing opportunity for gamers to prove their skills globally and make the world aware of their potential.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is yet again out with some rumours. This time we have received some new pictures showing the front and rear side of the phablet that has hit the market extensively. From design, it is quite clear that Note 8 follows the legacy of Galaxy S8 series. Although, it is a bit different due to the protruding dual-camera setup. Previously, OnePlus came up with some unique design and material to make the device looks different from other brands in the market, but they have changed this thing in there latest release OnePlus 5. This time like previous Oneplus 3 and Oneplus 3t it is made up of full metal unibody. The design in the images seems to be inspired from iPhone 7 Plus but actually when you see the device and use it, it is very different. But still we can say only camera placement is same rest, it is way more handy from iPhone 7 Plus.
Coming to the front part there you will get a 5.5-inches Large display with minimal size of bezel on its sides even smaller than its predecessor.
Beneath the display of the phone, at lower bezel you will get a home button and beside it fits up capacitive navigation keys which do light up in the light with small dots. The fingerprint sensor is already sits in the home buttons which unlock the phone in a fraction of a second and you don’t need to wake up the phone to unlock it. This is one of fastest fingerprint sensor i have ever seen. This time the fingerprint which they have added is made up of ceramic and not glass which is world hardest and toughest fingerprint sensor same like Xiaomi MI 6. We can also switch the back capacitive keys on on screen keys by going into the setting panel.
Coming to the down portion of the phone, it houses the USB Type-C port beside it a single speaker a primary MIC and a headphone jack.
Turning around to the right you will get a power button which is made up of metal and give quite good haptic feed if you rarely it because we get fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone and at the same time we also get on screen double tap to wake screen option in the phone, which is really need features these days. Above volume rockers we get a Sim tray which support Dual Nano sims and no additional Micro SD card in it.
Turning the phone further to the left you will get volume rockers and above, there is a notification profile switcher which is used these days most of the time to switch different notification profile which can also be set and customized as per your usage.

At the back side of the smartphone you will get a game changer this time as we get little bit bummed out 16 MP + 20 MP potrait camera which captures some great images and video. Display
This time with Oneplus 5 we were expecting to get something unique with bezel less display and QHD panel but this time they have decreases decreases the size of bezels and give us same Full HD panel with the resolution of 1980 x 1080 with the pixel density of 401 ppi.
Still the thing is that the screen on the OnePlus 5 looks beautiful. It looks great when you’re watching video and playing games on it, and as it’s AMOLED display, blacks and other dark tones look great. They have also added a Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 as extra protection.
Overall the display is superb, and it loaded with all features like double tap to wake and other gestures. The screen visibility in different lighting situation is also good and even in bright sunlight you can easily use it with great auto brightness feature.
This time one thing which they have added is reading mode which can automatically adjust the screen colors and brightness as per the situation and where you are. Using reading mode and night mode the display won’t give strain on the eyes which is nice. Overall a nice display and no complaints about it. But i was still waiting for QHD display.
Performance
As we all know whenever Oneplus comes up with something new it is always great. So as this time, OnePlus 5 delivers all what we can expect and need with the same the price bracket. Under the metal body construction OnePlus 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor supporting with an Adreno 540 GPU & 64GB/128GB of non-expandable storage. Coming to the performance party it is one of the smoothest phone till now and it is more polished because of their Oxygen OS, which is almost stock but still offer so much to customize from their setting panel.

The OnePlus 5 comes up with a 3300mAh non-removable battery, which seems to be pretty low compared to such specs but as they have already couples with a Dash charging power which charges the phone to 60% from empty in half an hour.

Camera
When we see Oneplus they have really worked hard in it camera and its performance. This time also they came up with another game changer as they have added Dual Camera setup at the back. They have added 16MP primary camera which is supported with a 20MP potrait camera to get shots same like DSLR. This time we can also click images in RAW format which gives us more freedom to customize our shots using Lightroom and Bridge.
The main camera lens has a super-wide aperture of f/1.7, which ensures that photos are bright without being overexposed. The telephoto lens then has an aperture of f/2.6.

This time we don’t get the support of OIS (Optical Image stabilization) in the phone where as we need to relly only on EIS which is electronic image stabilization. Here is one more twist while recording the video till FHD we can use EIS and when we switch the video to 4k, the support of EIS also get lost somewhere in the software. We cannot record video in Pro camera mode but why?
Still we can use third party camera application to get better and manual need if you really want to use this phone as a professional photographer.
At the front we also get a 16- megapixel camera which also comes with EIS support in it ans still we cannot use pro mode in selfie shots. Software
Coming to the software part of OnePlus 5, it runs on OnePlus Oxygen OS, with Android Nougat 7.1.1 loaded on top of it. It works perfectly with smoothest UI i have ever used. OnePlus is always appreciated because of the lack of bloatware in their devices and only the OnePlus Community app included on this phone.
One best thing which i want to include over here is that you can pull down the notification bar by dragging down anywhere on the home screen – which means no more stretching your finger to the top of that tall display to view your notifications and alerts.
As we all know from past all Oneplus devices are based on customization, and this time also they have added so many customization and the main added feature is the Dark Mode.
Reading Mode is perhaps one of the latest update from OxygenOS, and it’s something no other version of Android offers at the moment. The best thing is that you can configure certain apps to enter this mode manually. This filters uses blue light and uses gray scale mapping to make reading easier on your eyes.
They have also added so many gestures and one of them is that now you can launch the camera by double pressing the home button. Rest everything works perfectly i have not seen any lag, issue, crashes.
Overall i would say Oxygen OS seems to be like stock Android with added features of cyanogen and even better than cyanogen in it.

Google last year launched Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones and now there are reports that company is probably working on Pixel successor this year. The company may unveil 3 new pixel smartphones by the year end. The phones are speculated to be named as Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 and XL 3 and code name must be “Walleye” and “Taimen”, the smallest and largest device respectively.
XDA developers have obtained information about both upcoming Google devices which are discussed below, from a source familiar with the matter that spent time with at least one of these phones. We’re confident in the validity of the details presented below, given the source’s track record and since these are seeming -finalized hardware specifications and features, it’s unlikely that they’ll subject to change.
Google Pixel XL 2 ‘Taimen’
The larger device coming from Google this year. Taimen could come with a 5.99-inch display with a 1440p OLED panel provided by LG. Reuters reported about Google investing into LG’s display division for their next phone. The phone will sport a smaller bezel than what we saw in the original Pixel XL, and there is a 128GB storage model, though it might not be the only configuration. The device will indeed pack the expected Snapdragon 835 processor alongside 4GB of RAM. The back is pretty similar to last years, featuring a two-tone glass and metal finish, though the glass window is located near the top and no longer encloses with the fingerprint scanner. Google Pixel 2 ‘Walleye’
The smaller Pixel device will feature a familiar 4.97-inch display with FHD resolution. Sharp Business Systems, who brought the revolutionary and innovative concept of air purifier, recently announced that their air purifiers with inbuilt patented plasmacluster ion technology have been ratified by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) for its adequacy and effectiveness.

To start using it turn it ON using the controller on the top by revolving it to left side. After that you can revolve it more to increase the volume if needed. Once done we get different options on the screen which is unfortunately in Chinese only and we have no way to change it to english as of now. Still it is very simple to understand because we don’t have much to see in it.
From the left button you can move in the menu and you will get different option over there, we have attached the image with translated version to English as you can see. First option is GPS which you can use by connecting with an Android app. Below that we get FM option which i mostly use because we don’t need to plug any headphone to get network. it will direly play all the songs in it. We get the option to manually select the FM network or scan it automatically to get all networks in the list.
Rest option are for setting from where we can change the screen brightness, calling volume and other stuff which is mostly not needed.
Coming back to the hope screen when we press the back button again we get all the idle networks which are available just select one, set it and in other MiJia walkie talkie select the same and now you are ready to talk via walkie talkie with the same connected network.
