Samsung, a South Korean multinational conglomerate has officially announced the dates for the launch of its next Galaxy Unpacked event. February 11, 2020, is the date when Samsung will officially launch the Galaxy S11 series phones, which as per some reports, might officially debut as the Galaxy S20 series. However, the brand might also launch its next foldable phone, called the Galaxy Fold 2.

Here is the detailed information about the event:

The Galaxy Unpacked event will start at 11am IST(12:30am IST).
Date- 11th of February 2020

Place: San Francisco

There is a video invite for the event that clearly depicts the arrival of two smart devices by Samsung under the Galaxy S series Flagships and will probably launch the Galaxy Fold 2. However, the launch of Galaxy Fold 2 is not confirmed yet. In the video, Samsung has also teased the debut of  “new, innovative devices”, which depicts the launch of multiple phones being in the pipeline, and even some new smart home and wearable devices as well.

With the launch of the Galaxy S11 series, the brand is looking to change the name convention of its Galaxy S series and it might happen that the brand calls it the Galaxy S20 series.

There are three smartphones which will fall under the S20 series line up. The names of the smartphones are:

  1. The vanilla Galaxy S20
  2. Galaxy S20+
  3. The Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Here are few expected features of S20 series line up smartphones:

  1. The smartphone offers a 108-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS, and a periscope-style camera module with 5x optical zoom.
  2. The camera features might include support for 8K video capture at 30fps, Director’s View, Night Hyperlapse, and Vertical Panorama among others.
  3. The smartphones comes with curved Dynamic AMOLED display will reportedly sport a centrally-positioned hole-punch while the refresh rate is said to be 120Hz.
  4. However, the galaxy fold 2 is expected to feature a clamshell design akin to the Motorola Razr (2019), but details about its specifications are rather slim as of now.
