Hiring and onboarding are two of the most important processes for any business. It’s essential that you not only find the best candidates for your open position but that you teach them how to function within your organization quickly and efficiently.
To improve your hiring and onboarding process, there are many tech solutions that you can implement. Below are a few ideas that likely won’t take too long to integrate into your current process but that can deliver great results once you implement them.
Resume Screening Software
A great place to start is at the very beginning. Once you list your open job position, you may start to get a flood of resumes from interested applicants. Unfortunately, you won’t have the time to slowly read through each and every resume you receive. A better solution is to implement resume screening software. Resume screening software analyzes all of the resumes you receive and only passes on those that meet certain requirements.
For example, you may have a job for which you require someone to have a certain college degree. With resume screen software, you can eliminate any resume that doesn’t have this degree listed. This can significantly reduce the number of resumes you have to personally look at and ensures you’re only looking at ones that best suit the role.
Video Conferencing Software
Next, you’ll want to make sure your organization has video conferencing software. Video conferencing tools can help in a wide variety of ways, one of which is the hiring process. Through video conferences, you can talk with potential applicants without them having to visit your location.
This is perfect not only for remote jobs but for saving yourself time. With video conferencing, you can continue to narrow down your choices and only invite the top candidates in for a one-on-one interview in person. There are many video conferencing software options out there, and many of them will allow you to send links to non-users, which is perfect for applicants who may not have the software themselves.
Knowledge Management System
An important tool you’ll want to use for the onboarding process is a knowledge management system. A knowledge management system is an online tool you can use to organize all the essential information about your organization. This is the place where your new hire will go to learn all the different aspects of their job and complete any training materials.
By storing all this information in one easy-to-access place, you’ll make it easier for your new hire to learn everything that they need to. Larger organizations should explore enterprise knowledge management software solutions, as these will have more tools for bigger companies.
Performance Tracking Software
Once your new employee gets started, you’ll want a way to track their progress. For this, there are performance tracking tools. With these tools, you can easily see if an employee is completing their tasks and how well they’re doing on them. With performance tracking software, you can quickly identify if a new hire isn’t getting the hang of things and needs more instruction. This prevents them from creating bad habits and will help them get on the right track much faster.
Task Simulation Software
A great way to help new employees is with task simulation software. Task simulation software allows new employees to perform tasks that they’ll have to do in their jobs but without any of the risks. They can go through all of the steps required of them in a simulated environment, allowing them to learn from their mistakes and get used to the proper ways to do things.
For example, you can use simulation software to mimic a customer service interaction, letting a new employee practice handling a customer complaint. Simulation software helps new employees get their biggest mistakes out of the way during the onboarding process without actually harming anything.
Employee Feedback Tools
Finally, look to implement some employee feedback tools. Once you’re done onboarding your new employee, it’s a good idea to request some feedback from their end on how they viewed the hiring and onboarding process.
They may have suggestions on how you can improve things for future employees that you may not have thought of. A simple survey or some open-ended questions can go a long way toward ensuring you’re properly onboarding new employees and that you’re communicating clearly during the hiring process.
Start Improving Your Hiring and Onboarding Today
A few simple tech solutions could drastically change your hiring and onboarding. Whether it’s ensuring you’re interviewing the best candidates or giving them the tools to succeed, implementing some new software is likely a good investment of your time and resources. Start with the suggestions above, and before long, you should start to see improvement in your process.
As technology continues to advance, night vision devices have become increasingly popular in various fields, from military operations to wildlife observation and even personal security. Night vision devices are a lot of fun, so if you’ve never used one, you’re losing out.
This technology, of course, was not created for “fun”; rather, it was created to ensure that law enforcement and military authorities could shield themselves from assault and keep a careful eye on what was happening in the shadows around them. However, technological advancements have made these products accessible to the general public, and you can now purchase these scopes at fantastic prices for a variety of uses.
What can you do with Night Vision Devices?
These lenses have been a fantastic method for your kids to acquire knowledge plenty about the world they live in if you have any. They might believe that when the sun sets and the lights are turned off, everyone retires to bed, but if you look by means of night vision scopes, you could be surprised by the enormous amount of animals that emerge to feed and walk in the midst of the night (particularly if you live in a rural area).
Hunting is another area in which night vision is useful. Night vision will let you hunt more safely and allow you to spot creatures that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to see with your unaided eye alone if you are out shooting at night or in the wee hours of the morning before the sun comes up. In a manner, it provides you an advantage over all the creatures as well.
For their personal protection or the security of their possessions, many individuals wind up purchasing some type of Plomo Tactical night vision gear, including night vision sights. With night vision, you can spot anyone on your property at night if you’ve had items stolen from your garden, had your car broken into, or have other suspicious circumstances.
Why else do Night Vision Devices need to exist?
In addition to employing night vision, some optics and sights enable you to broadcast and record the information you are viewing, allowing you to utilize it later to eliminate someone if required. Night vision that is also recorded will help you present your case, particularly if you are worried about an offence that is taking place at your workplace or on the premises at night.
Where can you purchase Night Vision Devices?
Nowadays, you can buy many kinds of night vision optics from outdoor sports shops, gun shops, and even upscale electronics stores, though they are probably not the greatest places to do so. More brands and product types are available online than you can ever find in a typical retail setting, as you will discover when you look.
You may evaluate items side by side when you purchase online to see which ones are ideal for your specific usage and which ones meet your budget. The cheapest scope now costs considerably under $100, making it accessible to most individuals. Even if you merely use night vision for entertainment purposes, you will discover that the cost is reasonable and you will receive a good deal on the item.
On Tuesday, Google confirmed the official launch date for the Pixel 7a in India: May 11,2023. Numerous reports and leaks have speculated on the smartphone’s features, colours, and price in the lead-up to its release as the successor to the Pixel 6a. Recent rumours have hinted at a wider range of colour possibilities at launch than its predecessor offered. The confirmation of the event’s launch date in India corroborated earlier rumours that the Pixel 7a smartphone will be unveiled on May 10 during the Google I/O event.
The announcement was shared on Twitter by Google India, which also confirmed that the Pixel 7a will be sold in India through online retailer Flipkart after its May 11,2023 release. The tech giant gave us a sneak peek at the phone in a promotional photo. The woman is shown wearing a light blue outfit, lending credence to a previous report’s claim that the Pixel 7a might debut in an Arctic Blue hue similar to the Barely Blue colour option that the Pixel 4a provided.
The Pixel 7a was also seen in a Charcoal Black finish in the article. An earlier report said that an orange hue will be available for the phone, perhaps analogous to the Kinda Coral option on the Pixel 6.
A Tensor G2 SoC, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage are all rumoured specs for the next Google Pixel 7a. The 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED screen reportedly has a refresh rate of 90Hz.
The rumoured Google Pixel smartphone would reportedly have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). There’s a 10.8-megapixel camera sensor up front for taking pictures and making video calls.
It will probably enable wireless charging and be powered by a 4,400mAh battery with support for 20W wired charging, which is said to provide up to 72 hours of backup. It’s possible that Google’s Pixel 7a will cost between Rs. 32,000 and 40,000 (about $450 and $500).
Despite a shaky launch and customer preference for Windows 10, Windows 11 is rapidly growing into a stable OS, and usage is rising. Windows 11’s constant stream of push notifications has been widely criticised, and now, preview releases of Microsoft’s flagship OS have shown that the tech giant aims to reduce this function.
Even though these alerts aren’t a major problem, anyone who has upgraded to Windows 11 knows how annoying they can be. You can get desktop alerts from almost every preinstalled Windows software, such as Edge attempting to force-feed you Bing headlines or the Weather app alerting you about impending rain.
Sure, Windows 11’s Focus Assist may help you minimise distractions, but it may also prevent you from receiving important messages. Windows 11’s newest preview release has a new smart opt-out’ feature that prompts you to deactivate app notifications only if you haven’t used the app in a while if it continues to ping you.
Windows 11: Sensation of Notification
I think it’s high time: Windows 11 is great, but the constant stream of pop-ups from programmes I never use is annoying. It’s annoying to see spam email popups on my desktop every time I set up a new laptop for review since I only have an Outlook account for activating copies of Windows and registering up for items.
I’m also happy to see that Microsoft isn’t trying to shoehorn even more artificial intelligence into Windows as a result of this. I was already unimpressed by Microsoft’s decision to place AI on my taskbar in light of my indifference to Bing AI. Seeing the new “smart opt-out,” my first thought was that my notifications were being handed over to a deep-learning programme.
No, thank goodness. The latest Windows 11 preview will suggest you deactivate app notifications if you haven’t interacted with them in a month or more (beyond ignoring them). That’s all there is to it; none of your frequently-used applications should be impacted.

iPhone 14 Features
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display of the iPhone XR, protected by a Ceramic Shield and capable of displaying up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, was introduced last year. The A15 Bionic processor, introduced with the iPhone 13, provides the necessary processing capability.
The iPhone 14 has a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 1.9um sensor and an f/1.7 aperture for taking images and recording video. In addition to the ultra-wide f/2.4 lens, it has a 12-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, the TrueDepth camera on the front is 12 megapixels and has an aperture of f/1.9. Like every iPhone model released after the iPhone X in 2017, this one also has biometric unlocking via Face ID.
U.S. media claimed on Monday that a computer scientist known as “the godfather of artificial intelligence” abandoned his position at Google to warn the public about the risks posed by AI.
Who is the Godfather of AI?
AI pioneer Geoffrey Hinton warned that recent developments carried “profound risks to society and humanity” in an interview with The New York Times. Look at how it was five years ago and how it is today, he was quoted as saying in the Monday article. Put the dissimilarity out there in a big way. That’s frightening. Hinton warned that fierce rivalry among tech firms was leading to the reckless deployment of innovative AI technology that threatened employment and sowed disinformation.
According to his comments to the Times, “it is hard to see how you can prevent the bad actors from using it for bad things.” Starting in 2022, tech giant Google and the company behind the widely used AI chatbot ChatGPT, OpenAI, began developing systems that could process far more information.
Hinton told the Times he thought the sheer volume of data being processed by these systems meant they were beginning to rival human intellect. He said to the publication, “Maybe what is going on in these systems is actually a lot better than what is going on in the brain.” Despite AI’s history of helping humans in the workplace, the advent of more sophisticated chatbots like ChatGPT may threaten human employment.
He told the Times that AI not only eliminates “the drudge work” but that “might take away more than that.”The scientist also expressed concern to the Times about the possible spread of disinformation generated by AI, stating that the typical individual would “not be able to know what is true anymore.” According to the Times, Hinton gave Google notice of his departure last month.
Google AI’s head scientist, Jeff Dean, sent a statement thanking Hinton to the American press. “As one of the first companies to publish AI Principles, we remain committed to a responsible approach to AI,” the statement said. Constantly expanding our knowledge of new threats while taking calculated risks is a priority for us.
Tech tycoon Elon Musk and other experts have been advocating for a halt to AI system development since March to ensure their safety. As a result of the introduction of GPT-4, a far more robust version of the technology utilised by ChatGPT, over a thousand individuals, including Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, signed an open letter calling for its immediate adoption.
Although Hinton did not sign the original letter, he later told The New York Times that researchers shouldn’t “scale this up more until they have understood whether they can control it.”

The new conversation transfer option for Android users is presently being tested on the app owned by Meta. When WhatsApp’s testing is complete, users will be able to use a QR code to transfer their entire conversation history to a new Android device.
Meta has been quite productive recently, introducing a plethora of new features to WhatsApp. Among the most up-to-date are the options to save vanishing messages and use your WhatsApp account on up to four devices at once. According to recent reports, the developer behind the popular messaging app is hard at work on a new function that would make it simpler for Android users to shift conversations across devices.
Those who use WhatsApp on Android may presently save their conversations and media to Google Drive for safekeeping and easy restoration on another gadget. Since WhatsApp lacks a similar feature, Android users are forced to rely on Google Drive.
No more, though. Previously, it was revealed by Wabetainfo, a blog that follows all the newest advancements throughout WhatsApp, that WhatsApp is working on a new feature for Android users. Now, the same source says WhatsApp is developing a function that allows Android users to transfer chats without using Google Drive as a backup.
How to Transfer Your WhatsApp Without Google Drive Backup
The latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.19 update is now available on the Google Play Store, and it reportedly includes a new conversation transfer function for select beta testers. WhatsApp users will soon be able to transfer their conversation history to a new Android smartphone by accessing the functionality in Settings > Chats.
Users may get their conversation history, data, and media by scanning the QR code and then following the on-screen instructions. The tool will also make the transfer process easier for consumers by doing away with the time-consuming step of manually backing up their conversation history to Google Drive.
Users may quickly and effortlessly migrate their conversation history from one Android smartphone to another just by scanning the QR code, eliminating the need to back up and restore their data.
The link between Hollywood and video games is complicated. Some gamers even consider the term “video game movie” to be pejorative because of the studios’ repeated failures to successfully adapt games for the big screen. Despite the many failures, several films based on video games have found success.
Super Mario Bros. Movie makes $1B
Studio projections on Sunday put the worldwide total for “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” at over $1 billion, with the film’s fourth weekend in the top spot in North American theatres grossing $40 million.
The movie based on the Nintendo game was the most grossing at the box office in April. Little new competition arose over the weekend, but next week’s release of Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3” will likely push Mario to the sidelines as it kicks off the summer movie season. Studios spent the previous week advertising upcoming blockbusters and guaranteeing huge returns at the summer box office at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
On Sunday, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” is expected to become the 10th animated film and the first since 2019 to gross over $1 billion at the international box office. Domestic revenues of $490 million are impressive, but the company’s success outside has been even more remarkable. Overseas earnings for the Illumination film increased to $532.5 million after a weekend of $68.3 million.
In second place was “Evil Dead Rise.” Warner Bros.’ horror sequel performed well for a second week, keeping $12.2 million in the bank despite a 50% drop.
“Are You There God?,” an adaptation of a novel by Judy Blume, is one of the new releases this weekend. The most successful was “It’s Me, Margaret.” A solid start for Kelly Fremon Craig’s (“The Edge of Seventeen”) $30 million-budgeted coming-of-age drama, which Lionsgate released in 3,343 theatres and made $6.8 million.
To no one’s surprise, “Are You There, God?” The audience for the play “It’s Me, Margaret,” which featured Abby Ryder Fortson as a puberty-afflicted 11-year-old, was mostly female. “Are You There God?” has a “A” CinemaScore and 99% “fresh” ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s Me, Margaret” is certain to be a hit all the way up to Mother’s Day.
The Finnish action film “Sisu” was also distributed by Lionsgate in 1,006 theatres. An estimated $3.3 million was made from the story of a prospector (Jorma Tommila) whose gold is taken by the Nazis. For an international picture, having a statewide release is quite unusual, so that’s a good showing. The film that Jalmari Helander wrote and directed has received positive reviews.

The Poco F5 is slated to debut in India in the near future. Recent sightings of the phone on several certification sites are indicative of its impending release. The Poco F5, which will replace the Poco F4 in India in June 2022, will reportedly make its debut as a renamed Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
Earlier this year, in March, the Redmi phone debuted in China with a limited-edition Harry Potter model. Even though Poco hasn’t said when the Poco F5 will be released, we now know that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.
Poco F5 Specifications
The forthcoming Poco F5 will be the first device in India to have Snapdragon’s new 7+ Gen 2 SoC, as verified by Snapdragon (@Snapdragon_IN) in a tweet. Himanshu Tandon (@Himanshu_POCO), head of Poco in India, used this tweet to support his assertion that the Poco F5 would be the company’s “most powerful” smartphone to date.
Compared to the earlier Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 manufactured using 4nm TSMC technology is said to increase overall performance of the phone by 50%. There are claims that the new chipset can double AI performance, boost battery life by 13%, and provide support for Wi-Fi 6.
The Poco F5 smartphone, with model number 23049PCD8I, was recently detected on Geekbench. At least two storage configurations, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB, are anticipated for the device.
There is speculation that it is a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo, thus, identical specs should be available. Therefore, the Poco F5 might have a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
The Poco F5 is said to include a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 system-on-chip (SoC), an Adreno GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. MIUI 14, based on Android 13, will power the device.
The phone might include a triple camera setup, with a main sensor measuring 64 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle lens measuring 8 megapixels, and a macro lens measuring 2 megapixels. A centralised hole punch at the top of the screen might accommodate a 16 megapixel front-facing camera.
The Poco F5 is said to include a 5,000 mAh battery and 67W fast charging, as well as a fingerprint scanner embedded into the display for further protection.
