How to Choose the Right Data Visualisation Tools

Data is all around us in the digital age, and when it comes to analysis, there’s no shortage of information to leverage. However, with so much data available, it can be challenging for businesses of all shapes and sizes to make sense of it all. It’s little wonder data visualisation tools have become so popular.

Modern data visualisation tools like Microsoft Power Bi have had a significant impact on the way businesses understand data. It’s a vital tool for making sense of it all, and can drive decision-making, shape future strategies and campaigns and help businesses identify both current and emerging trends and patterns that may not be apparent when looking at raw data – simply by presenting the information in an interactive, visually immersive format.

As a result, data visualisation tools are increasingly being employed by organisations to identify opportunities for growth, highlight areas of their business requiring improvement and ultimately assist in optimising performance, nurturing growth and perhaps most important, ensuring success.

So what is data visualisation? And how do you choose the right data visualisation tools for your business?

What is Data Visualisation?

As the name suggests, data visualisation is the visualisation of information through graphs, maps, charts and other visual aids. Doing so allows data leaders to showcase complex information in a more effective and understandable manner, which allows key stakeholders and managers to better comprehend both emerging and current patterns, trends and relationships.

Why is Data Visualisation important?

Data visualisation has had a profound impact on the way businesses make decisions as well as the ways in which we make judgements and implement future strategies and campaigns. Through the use of innovative data visualisation tools, businesses of all shapes and sizes have the opportunity to quickly comprehend enormous data sets in a more interesting and eye-catching way. In a nutshell, ditching boring spreadsheets in favour of visual aids is allowing employees to unearth fresh insights and make wiser, more informed decisions. This is because the visualisation of data is easier to interpret and analyse than more traditional mediums.

The right data visualisation tools can…

Communicate data more effectively

Data visualisation is a useful tool for deciphering and analysing data. In fact, it can help to communicate complex data more effectively by representing information in visually appealing charts and graphs. This is because using a visual aid makes it easier to spot patterns and trends that might not be obvious in raw data. As a result, utilising data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI can streamline the decision-making process in your business by unearthing deeper, more comprehensive insights in a way that is easier for your employees and stakeholders to comprehend – this is especially important when several parties from across an organisation are involved in a decision-making process.

Highlights areas requiring improvement

Employing the right data visualisation tools can also help your business highlight areas that require improvement. For example, you can use an interactive dashboard as a tool to monitor data in real-time using an intuitive, not to mention innovative, visual depiction of relevant data points such as key performance indicators (KPIs).

As a result, data visualisation tools can make it possible to quickly identify potential opportunities as well as spot problem areas within your business that require consideration, such as data silos or a decrease in productivity. This kind of continuous monitoring makes it possible for businesses to identify both issues and possibilities that aren’t immediately obvious, which gives key decision-makers and stakeholders more information with valuable insights that can shape future strategies and campaigns.

Choosing the best data visualisation tools

Choosing the data visualisation tools for your business is crucial for successful analysis. The data leaders employed within your organisation need to be using the right charts and graphs as well as paying close attention to the design. It’s also important to have a thorough understanding of your target audience and their needs.  After all, there is little point in visualising data in a way that your employees and/or end-users cannot understand.

Of course, there is no single one size fits all data visualisation solution that is best for all types of businesses. When choosing the best data visualisation tools for your business, make sure you factor in…

Flexibility and ease of use

In this day and age, businesses of all shapes and sizes need room to flourish and grow. This means when it comes to your data visualisation tools, you’re going to need scalable IT infrastructure that can grow with your business. It’s also important to consider your employees by ensuring you choose a platform that is easy to use and understand. Doing so will allow non-technical users to spot emerging patterns and trends in your data with ease.

Integration

When it comes to data visualisation, data silos can harm the productivity of your business and make it hard for your employees to work together in harmony. This is why modern businesses require a certain level of collaboration within their departments. It’s also why it’s so important to choose a data visualisation tool that has an integrated dashboard which will enhance collaboration and growth, not inhibit it.

Final thoughts

In this day and age, businesses of all shapes and sizes have access to massive swathes of data from many sources – however, this can make it challenging to unearth the insights that are actually useful. As a result, it should come as little surprise that data visualisation tools have grown so popular with large and small organisations alike, particularly in the last decade. After all, data visualisation tools provide us with a simple yet efficient means of understanding the vast amounts of data at hand and easily spot hidden patterns and trends that might not be immediately visible in raw data.

It should come as no surprise that data visualisation tools are altering the way we see, discover, and interpret information. So how does one find the right data visualisation tools for their business? The answer lies in choosing the platform that best aligns with the objectives of your organisation.

A Beginner’s Guide to the Different Types of CNC Machining

If you are from Engineering Background or a normal Tech guy, you must hear about CNC Machines. So let’s first understand what CNC means and what are Types of CNC Machining? Expert: 80% Of Human Jobs Could Be Replaced By AI In The ‘Next Few Years’

Leading AI expert and U.S.-Brazilian researcher Ben Goertzel predicts that 80 per cent of human employment would be replaced by AI in the next years.

Goertzel, a 56-year-old mathematician, cognitive scientist, and well-known robot builder, is the founder and CEO of SingularityNET, a research organisation he established to develop “Artificial General Intelligence,” or AGI, artificial intelligence with human cognitive capacities.

Goertzel told AFP in an interview last week at Web Summit in Rio de Janeiro, the world’s largest annual technology conference, that AGI is just years away and spoke out against recent efforts to curb artificial intelligence research while sporting long hair and a leopard-print cowboy hat.

According to US-Brazilian scholar Ben Goertzel, 80% of human employment might be automated in the near future. Goertzel, a 56-year-old cognitive scientist and well-known robot designer, established the research organisation SingularityNET with the goal of developing “Artificial General Intelligence,” or AGI — artificial intelligence with human cognitive capacities.

Goertzel gave an interview to AFP at the Web Summit, the largest annual technology conference, held in Rio de Janeiro recently. The foremost expert in AI discussed AGI, its effects on the labour market, its comparison to human intellect, and other related topics in a recent interview.

In discussing the dangers of artificial intelligence, he estimated that 80% of human employment may be automated away even without the development of artificial general intelligence. It’s not the case with ChatGPT per se. But such systems are on the horizon and will emerge in the near future.

Replaced By AI? Who WIN?

Machines will need to be able to make large inferences beyond their training and programming if they are ever to match human intelligence and agility in the face of the unknown. As of yet, we have not arrived. “There’s reason to believe we’re years, not decades, away from getting there,” he told AFP when asked whether AI is as clever as humans.

Nothing Phone 2 Specifications, Variants, And Artist Render Leaked Before Launch

UK company Nothing Phone 2 has teased launch dates and design. Tipsters also provided critical specifications. BIS certification suggests the phone is going to India. Before MWC 2023, Nothing, CEO Carl Pei, teased the company’s future smartphone. After a recent teaser showcasing a section of the smartphone and a clearer launch timetable, the phone’s specs have leaked, providing further facts about the future smartphone, including its versions.

Sunary Gourkhede (@Tech_Wallah) sent two tweets, including a Nothing Phone 2 artist’s rendering. Ben Geskin, a Twitter user, developed the render after the company tweeted a piece of the future smartphone. Note that the picture isn’t a leaked image or a render based on leaked specs.

Nothing Phone 2 Specifications

The insider believes the Nothing Phone 2 will include a 6.55-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and an inbuilt fingerprint sensor. Gourkhede said the phone will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM are expected. The back camera will include a 50-megapixel main camera and two others.

The phone may include NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, 5G radios, satellite connection, and an Emergency SOS-type function like the iPhone 14 series. The tipster may be referring to smartphone GPS.

The Nothing Phone 2 will likely use the company’s Glyph Interface for alerts like the Phone 1. A metal frame will separate the glass back and front panels. Fast charging and a 5,000mAh battery are expected. The Nothing Phone 1’s segment-leading features—wireless charging and an IP rating—are not yet available. The Phone 2 should keep the Phone 1’s stereo speakers and two microphones.

The source said the new phone would have three variations. 8GB RAM and 128GB storage are standard. The top-of-the-line model will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the second variant will have 8 GB. These seem like Nothing Phone 1 models.

Leaked gadget information matches the aforementioned. Since this material is unauthorised, we encourage our readers to take it with a grain of salt. According to our recent source, the smartphone would arrive during the UK summer, between July and September. Nothing has been announced as a launch date.

From Laggy to Fast as Lightning: 6 Simple Tips for Transforming Your App’s Performance

Making sure your apps run smoothly is crucial if you want to reach a larger audience and gain more viewers, and we are here to help you achieve your goals. Although fixing a laggy app may seem like a daunting task, all it takes is just a few simple steps to go from sluggish to fast and smooth.

Here are six easy tricks you can use to improve your app’s performance and quickly increase the number of downloads.

Integrate third-party APIs

Do you want to get as many fast features on your app as possible but don’t want to build them from scratch? Integrating third-party APIs can help you achieve this. You can find numerous free APIs you can incorporate into your app, such as NBA API, IMDB API, etc., that will take your app to the next level.

Moreover, some API options can boost your app’s performance by offloading specific tasks. For example, if you use a third-party weather API, your app won’t lag since it is a pre-built model. You can replace some of your laggy features (instead of improving them or recreating them) and use third-party APIs instead.

Use a Content Delivery Network

Numerous renowned companies like Meta and Netflix use Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to improve their load times. These networks work by taking content and data from the original server (your app) and distributing it as close to the users as possible while reducing latency.

Imagine you have your original server located in the US and someone making a request all the way from Australia – this would inevitably make your app slow in such areas. To avoid this, you can use a CDN and have a server in Australia that will distribute and respond to requests as soon as possible.

Remove unnecessary features

You’ll often notice that some features in your app don’t serve any real purpose and that most users don’t like certain things about the app. Instead of keeping these features “just in case”, you should remove them to reduce load times.

That way, you can reduce your codebase and make your app easier to manage. You will free up space and make your app feel brand new.

Keep it small and efficient

The main thing that will affect your app’s speed is its size. Try to free up your app from any clutter to make it smaller, removing any superfluous images, transitions, animations, etc. Now some of these flashier elements may be integral to the experience – for example, if you have a gaming app, you may still need high-quality animations to attract more users.

That’s why you need to take your time and determine what you can compress to make your app smaller and more efficient without sacrificing overall useability. That way, your app will take less time to load and run, making it accessible even to those with low-memory devices.

Run tests frequently

Even if your app is working perfectly now, it doesn’t mean it will stay that way. You should run frequent tests to know whether your app is lagging and whether everything functions properly. Moreover, you can also use tools that help you run non-stop app tests which is crucial if you have an extensive network of users.

Although this step may not directly impact your app’s speed and performance, it is worth mentioning since it will give you insight into your app’s problems. Thus, you can quickly eliminate the issues making your app slower – you can consider tests as a security measure rather than a performance-boosting property.

Use lazy loading

Lazy loading works by loading or reloading only a specific part of your app instead of the whole app. That makes it an excellent way to reduce loading times. If you want to make your apps work faster but don’t want to integrate any complex features, lazy loading is probably the way to go.

That being said, implementing lazy loading will make your current code a bit more complicated. If that doesn’t bother you, this option is a fairly quick and easy fix.

Conclusion

Developing and maintaining an app is a complex process – you must consider numerous factors to keep your app up and running. However, if you want to simplify this process and boost your app’s performance, you can use some tips and tricks prepared. By integrating these tricks, you will decrease the loading time. Try them for yourself and turn your laggy apps into lightning-speed ones.

Vivo X90S Spotted on Google Play Console: Upgraded CPU and Other Specs Revealed

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo seems to be hard at work on the follow-up to the recently released Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, which just hit the shelves in India. The Vivo X90S has been spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing its name and a number of its major specs. Even though Vivo hasn’t confirmed it, we may assume that this is the successor to the Vivo X90 because of the upgraded CPU.

The model number V2241A has appeared on the Google Play Console, as first reported by MySmartPrice. According to the listing, the Vivo X90S is powered by MediaTek MT6985, which suggests the presence of the Dimensity 9200 SoC in the next device. The advertised gadget also has an FHD+ display and 12GB of RAM. Android version 13 is the operating system it uses.

The Google Play Console listing also reveals the phone’s appearance, which is very similar to the discontinued Vivo X90. The display is rounded at the edges, and the camera is a hole in the top. It seems that Vivo’s OriginOS is powering the shown software.

Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website, published a leak from Tipster Digital Chat Station speculating that the CPU indicated is the new MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. Meanwhile, GSMArena suggests that it might just be a refined version of the current chipset running at a faster frequency.

MediaTek’s rumoured new CPU will make its debut on May 10. It’s unclear how this new smartphone will fit in. However, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC is widely said to be superior to the Dimensity 9200 SoC found in the recently released Vivo X90 series in India.
